Eudo, or Eudes, is a Norman French form of the Scandinavian name Eutha, which The Oxford Dictionary of English Christian Names (1977, 3rd ed.) says is related to the Old Norse “jôdh,” meaning “Child.”

However, it is often confused with the name Odo, or Otto, from the Old German Audo, meaning “Wealthy,” from “aud” meaning “Prosperity.”

Eudo, often as Eudes, was introduced to England by the Normans. It did not survive the Middle Ages.
