For those of you that are unfamiliar with the game Vampire: the Masquerade, here are some pointers to help you better understand the stories...

Clans:
There are seven Camerella clans. The cammerella is the 'accepted' respectable law abiding section of the kindred community. each member of these clans has various strengths and weaknesses and different and similar characteristics. Most of these are known as Diciplines. But i am getting ahead of myself. The seven clans are:

1.
Malkavian - they are insane it is the curse of their clan they possess  special insite on the world around them.
2.
Ventrue - they are the business men, the players and shakers in high society. They like to pull the strings.
                  Their weakness - they are very selective about who they can feed on.
3.
Brujah - they are the anarchs and rebels- the kindred on the streets. Very physical - very strong.
                  Their weakness - they are quick to anger.
4.
Toreador - they are the socialites.
                   Their weakness - if they see something of great beauty ie a work of art  they lose all focus.
5.
Gangrel - they are the wanderers, gypsies and warriors. they are the ones with close ties to the earth.
                   Their weakness - if they lose control of the beast within - they will start to look like it.
6.
Nosforatu - are the information gatherers that dwell in the sewers and subways and know much...
                   Their weakness - their appearance. They are all hideously deformed.
7.
Tremere - are a tightly knit clan of magic users. that possess a multitude of powers.
                   Their weakness - all of them are bound by blood to the elders of the clan.

Disciplines:
Obfuscate: a power possesed by Malkavians and Nosforatu. It is a power of concealment and disguise.
Auspex: a power possessed by Malkavians, Tremere and Toreador. a power of awareness and insight.
Domination: a power possessed by Malkavians, Ventrue and Tremere. a power of control over others.
Fortitude: a power possessed by Ventrue and Gangrel. a power of supernatural toughness.
Presence: a power possessed by Ventrue, Brujah and Toreador. a power of allure and fear.
Celerity: a power possessed by Brujah and Toreador. a power of super human speed.
Animalism: a power possessed by Nosforatue and Gangrel. a power over animals without and within.
Potence: a power possessed by Brujah and Nosforatu. a power of super human strength.
Protean: a powere possessed by Gangrel clan. a power of shapeshifting.
Thamaturgy: a power possessed by Tremere clan. a power over blood, weather, fire, mind and other things.

Rivalries:
Now dispite the fact that everyone is supposed to coexist withing the Cammerella - sometimes rivalries and politics make this difficult. Although there are exceptions - this is the usual breakdown of the cammerella:

Brujah and Ventrue do not get along.
Nosforatu and Toreador do not get along.
Gangrels are aloof and usually avoid politics.
Tremere are loyal to Tremere first - Cammerella second.
Malkavians - well they are the annoying ones that tend to make everyone - edgy.
New Clans
For the purpose of the story Dreamers and the Iron Fists (if you haven't read the story yet - this might help) i created two clans with their own unique powers - the Dreamers - a clan of female vampires with extrememly powerful metal powers - and the Iron Fists - a clan of male vampires with extremely powerful physical powers.

Clans:
Dreamers: a clan of vampires that was sired in the Fay realm of Arcadia. They are very aristocratic - and possess a genocidial hatred for those sired of the Iron Fist clan. Although powerful in the mind - they are not strong physically.

Iron Fists: a clan of vampires that was sired in the Fay realm of Arcadia. They are savage brutal warriors - and possess a genocial hatred for those sired of Dreamer clan. Although nearly invincible physically - they are not mentally strong(they aren't stupid - but are weak against mental attacks!)

Disciplines:
Disciplines possessed by the Dreamers are:
Auspex: a power of insite and awareness
Dominate: a power of control and manipulation
The Calling: a power of the mind so focused that it can cause great physical damage.

Disciplines possessed by the Iron Fists are:
Celerity: a power of super human speed
Potence: a power of super human strength
Blood Scream: a physical power  akin to a banshee's scream - empowered by blood(in the advanced stages)
Independent Clans
In the new series of the Eco Chronicles - the focus shifts more to different clans.Namely the Followers of Set - or Setites and the Giovani. The Followers of Set are masters in the art of corruption - deception and lies - but some are also adept in the ways of fighting - much like Calloway. The Giovani are a corrupt clan that are masters in politics - in ways that Ventrue could not compete.

Followers of Set: a clan of vampires that traces its line back to the god Set. They like the god they follow - are a dark bunch that are most adept in exploiting weakness and secrets. Their one main goal - to find a way to raise their sleeping god - and to prepare for the war that will soon follow!

Giovani: a clan of vampires that is akin to a kindred maffia - but for the most part - the illicit trade - insider politics - political manipulations - all are but a front for their true darker interest. Namely their dark interest in all aspects of death.

Disciplines:
Disciplines possessed by the Followers of Set are:
Presence: a power possessed by Ventrue, Toreador and Brujah. a power of allure and fear
Serpentis: a power possessed by only the Followers of Set. a power that draws strenth from forms of the snake.
Obfuscate: a power possessed by Malkavians and Nosforatu. a power of concealment and disguise.
Note: those that follow the path of the serpent warriors - possess Potence instead of Obfuscate.

Disciplines possessed by the Giovani are:
Potence: a power possessed by Brujah and Nosforatu. a power of super human strength
Necromancy: a power possessed by the Samedi and the Giovani. a power over various aspects of death.
Dominate: a power possessed by Malkavians of old, Tremere and Ventrue. a power of manipulation.
