HSFL considering One more Game

After the Glover Bowl in week 13, the 2001 HSFL season was supposed to have come to an end.  Some of the league's yearly awards have already been announced, and the players have been set to go through the off season.  Earlier in the week, however, the HSFL was challenged yet again, this time by an independent team out of Portage, Indiana.  The group contacted Commisioner Glover this week about the possibility of playing another game.

The Commisioner released this official statement regarding the situation Wednesday morning:  "The HSFL has been challenged by an independent team based in Portage.  While this season is supposed to be over, the Executive Board and myself are seriously considering the possibility of playing this game.  I have put out a few 'feelers' to see if enough of our players would be interested in playing in this game and I am waiting for a few more responses before making the game official.  I see no reason why this game should not be played, it will be good for the fans and the players will get one more game in before the off season."
It is believed that the league has seen some interest from a few of its players about playing in this game.  Rumor has it that only Glover and
Tom Phelps are 100% confirmed for this game and if the league does not get a more enthusiastic response by the end of this week, the game may not materialize.
