OOC PLOT PREVIEW

It is still rough, however the overall premise is post-Reckoning; a few months ago (april) the Umbra was shaken by a tragic event that caused a major disturbance and the Avatar storm appeared. Crossing into the Umbra, as you know, is horribly dangerous.

There were two major chantries in london, the Celestial Chorus has one and so did the Order of Hermes; St Joe's is the only hospital considered even slightly safe for a mage to go near; and the Hemetic Chantry WAS the only place a mage could seek shelter (unless you knew local garou), and No one knows what has become of the Hermes in London (no one bothered to concern themselves with all the damaged caused by the reckoning). 

Major Traditions would include the Chorus (churches), Verbena (pagans), Speakers(indian reserve), Sons of Ether & Virtual Adepts for all of the telecommunications and university, Cult of Ecstasy for the sheer heck of it(Bacchus Lounge), Hollow Ones & Orphans pop up every where and there would be a severe shortage of Mentors and leaders due to the reckoning, leaving many without guidance.

Yet the presence of the Technocracy is here;
Maruders & Nephandi, who knows.
Potential cast of oracles, wraiths, garou, hunters, vampires, umbrood, etc; 
working towards a new future for magic in the 21st century....

Okay Characters!
What we really need are some characters to get started so we can take off with this. 
A low level mage with some potential for greatness is a plan.

To give you an idea of where we stand, we have a burned out Celestial Choruster, a Verbena, an Euthanatos, a  Hollow One, an Occult coffee shop downtown, 2 mortals, several  Orphans, and possibly a dreamspeaker;

2001~from death valley....The old Primus Council of the Traditions is dead and gone. The  Storm killed most of them during a meeting, and something was hunting the  remainder.  Many of us met and elected a new mini-council of North  America.  Most of those councilors are temporary pending larger  discussions.  The Euthanatoi killed their Primus because his number was up, and the Dreamspeaker Primus went Marauder and exploded in a wave of paradox  and pain.  The Technocracy tried to blow us all up at that meeting, then said they were sorry when it failed.
2002~from St.Louis....many mages met for a grand conference in order to further discuss the status of the Traditions.  One of the Verbena were suspected of being Nephandi. A trial was held and the Verbena was indeed proved to be a Nephandus.  After much debate it was dicided that a Hermetic would perform the Gilgul rite and destroy the Nephandi's avatar.  During the rite, an Akashic Brother interuped the ritual, trying to prevent a prophecy from coming true.  The Hermetic and Akashic we pulled into the ritual circle and killed. The Nephandus avatar was destroyed but the human body remained alive.  Someone tried to assassinate them, but another Verbena stepped in and took the mortal to safety in the umbra.

Game: December 15th, 2001

  A small number of tradition members remain and a few known orphans and hollowers still exist within the city of London and must deal with the loss of influences of their leaders and masters.  The Order of Hermes presence has all but vanished from London and the eldest are gone with questions to their chantry. The Technocracy's influences survey London closely, hoping to keep a stern grip commanding the sleepers.
  The Game took place at Chakra Coffee & Books, a local Occult coffee house which is owned by an Euthanatos Mage.  Just before close on a Saturday night, there turned out to be an unexpected large number of Mages at the shop on the first day of snow.
  An Errant Mage from the Order of Hermes appeared looking for old contacts.   This prompted some of the older Mages to hold a small meeting while the Hermes told his tale.  The Mages were undecided what should be done about the Hermetic Chantry and the loss of entering the Umbra, but they decided to use the coffee house as a pseudo chantry.  A Man in Gray appeared and spoke with the Shop owner. He left without any true conflict but returned to a parked van and sent sleeper agents to put up a watch around the building. 
  Many Mages decided it was best to leave at this point but an Orphan refused to leave willingly. A Hollow One subdued him and took him out of the building. The Mages fled and what is to be done about the Hermetic chantry was left up in the air.

Game: February 24th, 2002

BEFORE:
  Tradition Mages were to meet for a Winter Party that had been called by Richard McCormick, a Verbena from London. The Party was by invitaion and is to promote the Tradition Community that was held at McCormick's home. Many things have been holding the mages back from accomplishments of late.  The Technocracy is making their presence felt again; the Order of the Hermetics in London has been sundered and questions to their Chantry remain; the Celestial Chorus have become reclusive; the Garou and the Dreamspeakers have also made themselves distant. It seems as though the Traditions are falling in these hard times and must come together or fight their seperate wars. The local news spoke of a fire damaged an occult bookstore and left two unidentified dead men; the autopsy could not confirm if the owner was one of the victims.
DURING:
  The Party was quiet until the local Bookshop owner of Mystic Pathways appeared, looking very distraught.  A known sleeper in occult circles, had awakened and left a trail of unexplained damage.   A Cultist gathered information (via Mind and Time Spheres) to find out what happened.  They saw that two Men in Black entered his book shop, interogated, attacked and were killed in some sort of Backlash as the Owner awoke letting off large of amount of uncontroled energy destroying the MiBs and damaging the bookshop. Many other Tradition members arrived to socialize after this point.
  The Errant Hermetic, Romaro, arrived to sort out what must be done to get into the Hermeic Chantry, and shortly after a Former member of the Hermes, Jude, appeared  seeking his help to find his lover and Romaro's former student. Romaro still suspected Jude of working for the Nephandi, but set that aside to find out what must be done to find the missing lover/student and the rest of the Hermetics.
After much discussion, serveral Mages decided to try and get into the Hermetic Chantry. A small group headed to the Chantry led by Jude and Romaro.  Several Harckers searched for records and services to the Chantry and tried to discover what was going on at the Mansion. All of their attempts failed and left curious questions to this strange mystery.
END GAME:
  They reconviened at McCormick's house and someone accidently tripped an alarm. Everyone left the party to investigate other options and the evening ended with everyone having even more questions then what they started with.

Game: March 3rd, 2002

BEFORE:
     The Order of Hermes presence has all but vanished from London and the eldest are gone with question to their chantry.  A PC (Romaro Tenet Played by Bryan McLean is now an Errant Mage from the Order, who has returned from the umbra to find this chantry and Allies sunderd. Romaro discovered the chantry open again and a few mags came to his aide.  Also Mages has gathered at the local ocult cofee/ook shop to monitor the chantry remotely or were just wandering by.
DURING:
    The Chantry was in complete disarray amd Spirits had inhabited the House.  The Structure was unstable and was sliding back and Forth between the Umbra and the Material Plane.  The Mages were finnally able to gain entryinto the chantry.  They were thrown into the umbra and had to clean out some unexpected Umbrood.  Thy proceeded to investigate the Chantry
    They discoverd that some Hermetic Mages and Accolytes had been preforming a ritual to gain access into the umbra after the reckoning.  Something went horribly wrong killed two of the Mages , Master Chester Bennington and Adept Thomas Kine, with two of thier accolytes.  Two Mages are unaccounted for leading to a new search causing a need to research all of the happeings that occured with the order of Hermes in London before, during and after the reckoning.
    The ritual had trappd some Umbrood spirits in the Chantry.  The Umbrood and Daemons had been draining the mode to surrive and must have weakened its power which allowed entry into the house and weakened the reality of its structure.  According to some local spirits many larger umbrood escaped during the unstable periods and are loose.
    Several Mages that had been monitoring remotely from Occult bookshophad lose contact with the house and rushd over to discover theirs fates. They arrived just after the mages managed to banish the Umbrood and they all proceeded to investigate the Chantry.
    One of the Virtual Adpets Mages discovered a hidden secert by another Tradition Mage.  They were being hunted by the technocracy and had ben endangering all whom associated with him. The Mentor of this particular Tradition Mag then had a stern talking to him about protection and ethics.
    Many of the Mages acquired some items from the chantry . Other discovered some inconsistancies in the whereabouts of some Hermetics.
END GAME:
    The Mages left the Chantry to pursue other leads. Romaro preformed a ritual to re-enforce the Chantry's Structure to keep it in the material realm and is seeking away to ward from umbrood, suspecting they will return for the Node.
    The Hackers of the city are seeking information pretaining to reports of the chantry and occurances around London during the time of the Reckoning in the order to restructure all the events leading up to and after the Hermetic Ritual.
Game: April 27th, 2002

BEFORE GAME:
    Many issues have been daunting the Awakened in the city;  The Spirits ar talking about big nasty things that have surfaced;  the techonocrary is supposed to be around every corner, but have shown little action; the Hermes Chantry, although now saf to access, is in ruins and the reconstruction has only begun with iinly 2 Hermes to pick up the pieces; Sleepers still roan about their lives unsuspecting; many Mages don't know which way is the best direction to take. A stand must be made, but against what elements , and the at what cost.
    Mage have gathered at the local Occult coffee/bookshop, Chakra's to do business and ind their purpose.
