Environments Act Upon One Another

The Climatic Environment

When most of us think of the word, "environment," what we think of is usually the climatic environment. We have long known that pollution affects the air we breathe. Now it is becoming more widely known that the quality of the air affects the climate. Species extinction, plant or animal, affects the climatic environment.

The Political Environment

Prevailing political thought often determines whether the climatic environment is impacted positively or negatively. The chosen impact is really the byproduct of other political decisions. Vigorous support of polluting systems can ignore climatic environmental impact or it can incorporate consideration for stabilizing it.

The Social/Economic Environment

Prevailing social and economic concerns are addressed by political action at one level or another, sooner or later. Prevailing social and economic concerns affect the individual's relationship with the climatic environment on a local and global level. An individual may choose to protect the environment or ignore it.
