Henry and Penelope Guthrie had a son and daughter who married a daughter and son of and John, Sr. and Elizabeth Candler. After Henry's and Elizabeth's deaths, John and Penelope married (1802). |

This essay was written by Col. Charles S. Caffery, b. 1882, a descendants of John Caffery (1722-1790) and Elizabeth Candler (c1733-after 1791 - Daniel and Hannah Candler's daughter). He was a very careful genealogist pointing out questions that he could not answer. His evidence plus Candler data proves the marriage of John and Elizabeth - which was his hope. |
