| The Laie Quarry will be closing in the summer of 2001. The landfill is begining to take place. The cave calcite is now under tons of dirt. All that remains of the former calcite deposits are the two piles of rubble. Amongst this rubble are clusters of dogtooth calcite and shell fossils. |
