Step 4- Explore National Technology Standards
Knowledge of the digital world is the new currency of today's workplace. Teachers need to keep their students in the know. One of the benefits of integrating technology into the curriculum is that not only will your students be developing the skills defined by curriculum standards, but they will be developing competencies to help them be successful in the information age.
But what do they need to know?
Some schools may have guidelines about what skills students should aquire, and by when, but many don't. Thus, the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) has developed comprehensive and easy-to-follow guidelines to help teachers provide students with the technology skills they need for the future.
