| Mr. Julio Alvarado-Tricoche born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on 1886. He is an exponent of the puertorrican music. His mother was Puerto Rican and his father was Spanish. He was a tobacconist musician and teacher. His great interest and love for music prepared and helped him to develop these skills and the capabilities to perform as a musician, band director and composer. Lejos de Ti, Noche de Algodón, Ausencia, Cenizas, Ambición and many others are only a small sample of his legacy. |

| Julio Alvarado School opened in August 1976. New additions were built in 1998. Our original name was Jardines del Caribe School. Julio Alvarado is an elementary school. It teaches grades kindergarden-6th grades. Our school is accredited by Consejo Educación Superior. |
