Vincennes University Educational Talent Search

What is Educational Talent Search(ETS)? The ETS program was created by the Higher Education Act of 1965 and is funded by the Department of Education. The Vincennes University ETS program currently operates in five southern Indiana counties and serves eight school corporations. Primarily the goal of the ETS program is to assist 6th - 12th grade students in their endeavors through junior/middle and high schools, graduation, and enrollment in college or vocational/technical training after high school graduation.

Services We Offer *Identify low income and potential first generation college students for assistance in preparing them for education at the postsecondary level. *Encourage student to complete secondary school and undertake a program of post seconday education through school sessions, college visits, and workshops *Publicize the availability of financial aid and provide assistance to students and parents in completing college student financial aid(FAFSA) and scholarship forms. *Expose 6th, 7th, and 8th students to the college selection process. *Assist 6th, 7th, and 8th graders gain a greater sense of direction through career awareness workshops, study skills and test taking techniques.
