Looking to fill a contractor position for a PMEL Quality Assurance Specialist. Skills required for this position are as follows: a) Monitoring of the PMEL Quality Assurance Program, related processes; and determination of process improvements b) Application of a complete range of quality assurance methods to isolate defect trends, and identify corrective actions c) Monitor, track, report, perform statistical modeling, and assist in the performance of corrective actions d) Review and develop quality metrics and specialized data gathering techniques e) Provide updates to the PMEL Quality Assurance Plan as necessary to include improved processes, technologies, and concepts f) Develop quality characteristics for newly assigned Technical Measurement Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) using available data sources (e.g., technical manuals, maintenance instructions, engineering drawings, and quality assurance policy/instructions) g) Generate and track Material Deficiency Reports; including the investigation of reported deficiencies This position will be located at Hill AFB Utah. Required Knowledge and Experience: Technicians must have at least 4 years experience inspecting, troubleshooting, modifying, overhauling, aligning, calibrating and certifying TMDE and laboratory standards. It is highly desired that the candidate have Air Force PMEL certification and be experienced in most areas of PMEL to include general purpose electronic equipment as well as mechanical and physical calibrations. The candidate should have some computer skills and a working knowledge of the military quality system. Mandatory Requirements: All applicants must have proof of formal military or civilian training in the calibration and repair of TMDE. Wayne, IN Performs electrical, physical/dimensional, and mechanical tests and inspections. May perform system procedures or product audits. Also includes various duties of complex technical nature including, but not limited to wiring, constructing, assembling, inspecting, testing, cleaning, troubleshooting, repairing and calibrating electronic and/or electro-mechanical test and measuring equipment. Implements the quality control program on an assigned project to insure conformance of the product to quality standards and specifications. Experience Requirements: Equivalent Education Level Required - Graduation from High School plus two years formal technical training. Experience Required - Minimum four years applicable technician experience, i.e. experience in repair and calibration of electronic test equipment.
