Welford Writes
Welford Writes is a brand new international agency that offers a variety of services, all of which have something to do with the written word.

1. Translation from bad English into good. Send me your text, such as emails, web pages, letters, articles, essays, stories or whatever, and I will produce a version in perfect, grammatical, British English. This service should be of great benefit to people for whom English is not their first language, but who need to make themselves understood in written English. Please note that I do not translate from other languages into English.

2. Ghosting.  As above, but I can also write your pieces for you, based on the ideas you want to convey.  This takes longer than translation, and we'll have to send each other a lot of messages back and forth before the piece is finished, but it'll be worth it!

3.  Proofreading.  I am an experienced proofreader to BS 5261, and can produce a corrected version of your text that is ready for the printers.

4. Indexing. I am a member of the Society of Indexers, and can produce an accurate index of your book or other work, in as much detail as you require.

Click the email link if you want to know more.  I will send you a personal message, including details of my "try before you buy" offer.

On this site you will also find "Library Funnies".  This is a set of stories and one-liners that dates back to my time as a professional librarian before I was made redundant in May 2002.  I collected these from world-wide professional colleagues and have archived them on this site.  Read and enjoy!

And Edwy? Edwy is the family cat, named after one of England's less successful monarchs!
This is me, in my library days!
