The main purpose is to provide a home for the "Library Funnies" that I have collected since March 2002 from the members of three library mailing lists, and sent out to those lists as regular weekly bulletins.
These "funnies" share one basic theme - they are the contributions of list members, culled from their own experiences or those of their colleagues. They are not (as far as I know) items pinched from other sites that do a similar job.
The "funnies" are published anonymously, to protect the innocent and the guilty alike.
A "funny" is defined as anything that is odd, amusing, quirky or unusual, and related in some way to libraries, books or "controlled knowledge" in any medium.
