Rules and Regulations

 

1.    Every tournament is based on a 1 game knock out format of straight elimination. 

2.    All typ 1, 1.5 and type 2 decks in accordance with DCI rules are eligible fo entry into the tournament.

3.    For every tournament each competitor must register a minimum number of 4 decks each into the tournament.

4.    During registration the color combination and name of each individual deck must be specified.

5.    Also in accordance to DCI rulings, each decks must consist of 60 cards and each player will start each game with 20 life points unless

    (a) A Type 2 deck is matched up against a Type 1 or Type 1.5 deck in which case the former will start with 20 life points but the latter will only start with 15 life points.

    (b) If a Type 1 or Type 1.5 deck matches up against a deck of similiar constitution, the life points for both will remain at 20.

    (c) Rule (b) will apply for 2 opposing decks of type 2 constitution.

6.    Each championship winning deck must defend its title at the next tournament to be held if possible. Any non-adherence will count as a forfeit and an announcement will be made before the start of the next tournament.

7.    Each particular deck is only allowed one chance at a forfeit after which that particular deck will be banned from taking part in all subsequent tournament.

8.    For each individual deck to retain its status or identity, the changes made to the content of the deck cannot exceed a total number of 15 after which it will have to reregister as a new deck in the following tournament.

9.    All actions, decisions and judgments made during the competition itself is deemed to be final and there can be no allowance made to play that particular move again.

10.   Unless otherwise stated in this binding document, all other DCI Rules governing the competition will apply in all circumstances.

11.   The judges appointed will be fair and impartial. In the event of any dispute, the judges may consult the opinions of both competitors but only he alone can make the decisions. All decisions made will be deemed final and no appeals will be entertained.

12.   Any enquires or doubts must be made before each game. No later appeals will be entertained.

13.   The organizers retain the right to procure and publish the deck construction content of the championship winning decks of each tournament in later publications.

14.   The competitors are required to give their utmost cooperation and information whenever called upon in such capacities.

15.   Cheating is never tolerated and any competitor found guilty of such account will render all decks registered under his/her name to be disqualified from the tournament immediately and will be liable to be banned from taking part in any subsequent tournaments.

16.   The organizer retain the right to bar any body from taking part in any tournament within their jurisdiction.
