I USED TO LIVE IN THE WEST END
From September 1997 to July 2001 I lived in the West End of Glasgow. I really loved the area and will be missing it loads. I've chosen a collection of pictures to give you an idea of what it is like around there. All photos are taken by Jim Byrne.
This is what most houses look like in Glasgow. I think it's Edwardian style, although I don't really have a clue...
Botanic Gardens, where we like to go for a picnic if we're lucky enough to have a sunny day... And Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum, University on the backgroud.
Byres Road, the "Oxford St" of the West End.
Ashton Lane, the home of many cosy pubs. Had some good times here!!
Kelvingrove Park. I love this park, it's huge and full of cool statues. A perfect place for a refreshing walk.
A couple of shops that I pass every day on my way to uni.
Good night!
