Chocolate Crisps

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups softened butter (3 sticks)
2 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 3/4 cups sifted cocoa
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

OVEN 350 degrees

How To Make

Beat butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, and mix well. In another bowl, sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt together. Add to butter mixture, mixing until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Divide dough in half, roll into logs, wrap, and refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours.
Cut logs into 1/2-inch-thick slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 12 to 14 minutes.Makes 5 dozen.
