Fi'elt & Gebrochenth
Fi’elt almost flinched when Gebrochenth bespoke him—bells and forget-me-nots stealing into his thoughts.  <<Word comes that there will be a flight to end all flights, rider-mine, and it will be only riders who have Impressed to the opposite gender or dragon.  Will we go?>> his green inquired, whisper-soft.
“Ah,” the ex-Heir murmured, tilting his head in melancholy thought.  “So you’re looking for children already, my Broche?”
<<It is a strong desire to bear them, Rider.  I don’t wish to burden you with my urges, but it seems…prudent to mention this flight.  A good chance for you, Fi’elt, to find a lady-rider with a dragon who I can take as my mate.  Please don’t be angry with me.>>
Tenderly, her rider stroked his green’s delicate wrist.  “It’s not something I’m particularly looking forward to, Gebrochenth, but you know I couldn’t dislike you for any of this.  It’s just inconvenient.  And I’d love to see what beautiful children you’d have.”
Affection sparked bright as day between them, and Gebrochenth curled around him as if he were those yearned-after offspring.  <<The flight is at
Baeris Kshau’s Healing Den.  I will take you there when you have packed.>>
Fi’elt sat bolt upright.  “Now listen here, Broche, that’s clean off the map!  The dragons are /strange/ there.” He shivered a little.
Serenely, Gebrochenth replied, <<I can get us there.  It is a good hope for you, my Fi.>>  And she drowned out his retort with a reverberating clanging of bells.
