We got up dark and early to make it to the airport on time. A quick hop to Charlotte, then a comfortable flight to LAX, and we were off to get our rental car. The green "Pimp-Mobile" was a 2-door Daewoo Lanos. Bare bones, but great for Noga and me. The only problem with the car was that the radio didn't work, but we got over that in a few hours. We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott, in downtown Long Beach, across the bay from the fabled Queen Mary. After getting settled, and a quick shower, it was off to Ray and Corey's place, a cute stucco apartment across the street from, convienently enough, a liquor store. There, we hung out with Ray and Eric Pedi for a while.
