BUDD ON THE ROAD
NEBRASKA AND COLORADO
AUGUST 2004
[home]
That's the Budd Car, high atop the high bridge at Marty Cozad's railroad in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Here it's on a trestle on the other side of Marty's layout.  The passengers are not quite as frightened this time!
Here the Budd Car is posing in front of the famous Georgetown Loop trestle deep in the Colorado mountains.
We arrived early at the Hudson Garden Center. No trains yet. So I ran the Budd!
At Roger Kopp's layout in Durango, the car approaches Ant Hill.
She takes a spin on Marc Horovitz's layout in Denver amongst the live steam loco-motives including this monorail.  Marc is the editor of Garden Railways Magazine.
Here she's gliding alongside the pond at Bob Melichar's nicely landscaped layout.  (I hope I got the host's name right).
She was a big hit at the Colorado Railroad Museum.  They loved the way it loaded and unloaded, and how smoothly it ran without a good track cleaning.  What a wonderful place to run trains!
