Prototype Pages   My first model trains came in 1958 when I was seven years old. Dad helped me set it up on a 4X8 sheet of plywood. This lasted for about five years and we finally took the set down as dad needed the basement for a family room.
I model Great Northern primarily, with other road names represented depending on what I happen to be in the mood for.
By far the best part of the hobby is the friends I meet who share railroading as their interest. Friends like John W., Steve, Philo, Todd and David.
I am currently building my 5th (and probaably final) layout. It is DCC equipped.
     Check it out below.
A major portion of my life has been spent dealing with my love of trains. I have my mother and father to thank for this; I was thrilled to find  my first HO set under the Christmas tree when I was seven. It was a Fleisman set with an 0-4-0 and about five cars. Forty-one years and several thousand dollars later, I'm still entertained by this hobby.
I guess I've got a couple thousand photographs of trains that I've collected over the years. I have shared some of these with you on the following pages.
I travel all over America and try to get in as much railfanning as possible. You're invited to take a look at some of my trips and hikes that I've done.
