and other words from the Webmaster.... |
I just want to mention briefly how much fun it has been to put this site together, and I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for taking the time to share in it with me. I've recently discovered that my Server Space is near full. Therefore, some of these photos will soon dissappear, to be replaced by other works. The features will will rotate complely, while the staple categories will remain, with the inluded photos rotating. The point? Make sure you take a good look at everything before it dissappears. And if you want to pass this page on to a friend, make sure you do so soon. Photo rotations may occur at any time, but will probably take place every 2 to 3 months. |
The comments I have received on this webpage have been very supportive, and I thank all of you who have responded. My abilities as a Webmaster are no where close to those as a photographer, so I would appreciate any advice and suggestions as to improvements on this site. Just keep in mind that the goal is to display photos, not to have a bunch of fancy schmancy web gimmics. This web design software does not include a spell checker, and everyone should know by now that my Spelling or use of correct punctuation and grammar is not the best. Therefore, I make no claims to the professionalism of the writing on these pages. I'm an Engineer, not an English Teacher! Speaking of writing, a lot of these photos relate to stories. Stories about the subject matter, or stories about the evolution of the photograph itself. I have tried to include most of these as I go along. Some are simply left to leave you curious, and if you want to know more, you have to ask. Of course, not all of my stories are going to be printed on these pages, only the ones connected to these photos. So, if you want to hear about dead people or derailed trains, you have to ask about that specifically. All photos on the pages are my own work, unless otherwise noted. Those by other photographers will be shots that I would have taken myself, but couldn't due to some technicallity, such as me being the subject of the photo. I have no intention of devoting these pages to the work of other photographers. I have recently decided that I will not include any photos on this site that have been displayed or hope to be displayed elsewhere. This includes other websites, newsletters, greeting cards, and framed prints. Every photo that is displayed is special, and I would like to maintain it as unique to its recipiants. Once again, thanks for taking the time. Eric Hadder |
