Remake fever hits Hollywood Given the recent success of Gore Verbinski's remake of Nakata Hideo's Ringu, it's hardly surprising Hollywood have anounced more remakes of Japanese and other east-asian movies. Next in the pipeline appears to be another Nakata horror flick, Dark Water, which has been given the greenlight towards remakedom. Also, Tom Cruise of all people has purchased the rights to remake the Pang brothers' recent horror smash-hit The Eye. Source:Empire magazine |
