Dark Water release date error
In correction to a recent news story (Which I have now removed) April 25th actually refers to the theatrical release date of Dark Water and not the DVD release as I reported!

Sorry if I got anybody's hopes up, the DVD release date is TBC

Thanks to Matt at Metro Tartan for pointing this out

Remake fever hits Hollywood
Given the recent success of Gore Verbinski's remake of Nakata Hideo's Ringu, it's hardly surprising Hollywood have anounced more remakes of Japanese and other east-asian movies.
Next in the pipeline appears to be another Nakata horror flick, Dark Water, which has been given the greenlight towards remakedom.
Also, Tom Cruise of all people has purchased the rights to remake the Pang brothers' recent horror smash-hit The Eye.
