Beyond A Casual Friendship
You are a voice when silence surrounds me,
You are the light when darkness captures me,
Your love and your friendship flew like a bird,
to this lonely soul that wanted to be heard.
How can I thank you for giving me a chance,
to let my dormant mind have this dance?
You gave me an outlet to let my thoughts flow
without the fear of you turning to go.
You've listened, laughed, and shown that you care,
You helped reassure me that friends are always there.
Through my anger and confusion you opened a door,
to a bond between us that will grow forevermore.
Whatever the situation, you helped support me through,
Without hesitation, you told me what to do.
Gifts and money can't ever buy all that you've given to me,
Without you at my side, my friend, I don't know where I'd be.
Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart,
For giving me a chance at a brand new start.
If you ever need me, know in your heart I'm here for you,
For all that you've done, it's the least I could do.
