Who Owns Who?
Dreams often come and go.
I've managed to lose some...
I've managed to win some.
Most people doubt me… they try to push me down.
They constantly try to drive me away from victory,
but I don't give up.
I work harder, longer, and put more dedication into my dreams.
When others doubt me, I work even harder to prove them wrong.
Seems that people take bigger challenges when the odds are against them.
I am one of those people.
The challenge becomes more exciting when the odds are against me.
When it feels like the world around me is crumbling,
what do I do?
I play the game of life,
I play the game of the world.
I'm just another game piece on the board, but I have a strong will.
I may not roll the dice perfectly every time...
sometimes I may never move, but I continue to keep rolling.
Are we bigger losers if we play, or if we give up?
If I remain in this same spot for years to come...
while others pass me by... am I a fool?
You know the saying "If there's a will... there's a way",
It makes a lot of sense doesn't it?
If you find a loophole to the game of life,
does that mean you are a winner or a cheater?
Does it make you a winner because you conquered your challenge;
Or does it make you a cheater because you found the loophole...
an easy way out?
Do you ever think about this;
Do these thoughts ever cross your mind?
Do you even care?
I care, and that's what keeps me going.
