The East Bay Hills, near San Francisco, California are my local stomping ground. My favorite place in this region is Las Trampas Regional Wilderness, located in central Contra Costa County in the steep hills west of the San Ramon Valley. Unfortunately, camping opportunities are severely limited in the East Bay Hills, which is why you don’t see as many twilight shots here as you do in the Yosemite section of this site.
