This is a Norwegian band singing Punky Irish Trad, much like The Pogues. So much so that apparently Shane himself can barely tell them apart. All I can really say about this band is that if you liked the Pogues more than the Popes and were disapointed by the new material then this is for you. Although they sing like Shane and play like the Pogues they do actualy write almost all their own stuff with some very good lyrics. Greenland Whalefishers is now finished recording the new album which will be titled "Loboville" 11 strong and drunken tracks with vicious flute and fiddle, pounding drums and Arvid`s old-mans-voice.
