There was only 800 copies of this 7" so this is a good place to hear it. This band seem to owe a great deal to Ex-Cathedra. Like Ex-Cathedra they are a Scottish Ska Punk band with female vocals and a very fast energetic beat. Although at first you could be forgiven for lumping them together The Newtown Grunts have a very distinctive sound. They now have an album on CD out. They have about ten members so rarely tour. I've heard their live show is insane with singer Norri forcing Buckfast on his audience and throwing custard pies. This is a Flotsam and Jetsam Records 7". Check out their homepage here.
