5-07-03: daniel rowe Daniel is the first person that I am complimenting that I actually know rather well. And he is quite deserving of one. Back when I was a sophomore I first started communicating with Daniel, and when he busted out with the Nelly and the Country Grammer, I realized that he was a really cool guy. I think that Daniel is one of the most overlooked people of the IB class that he used to be a part of until this year. He is a really nice guy, and throughout high school has managed to change the way that I think about things. Daniel seems to be incredibly passive, which I think is one of his most admirable qualities. I surely have a lot of difficulty staying out of other peoples' buisness and not getting concerned about trivial things, but Daniel does it with ease. Contrasting this personality, Daniel has a taste for really hard, evil music, and can play guitar and scream quite well. He is one of the best DDR players in the state, and is the reason that I have blown many dollars on the silly yet addicting game. To top everything off, he works at Chick-fil-a (quality fast food if there is such a thing), and I hear that he is mad with the registers. Daniel is a good guy, does his own thing, and his hair shares qualities with everlasting gobstoppers. Hooray for Daniel Rowe!
5-06-03: joshua gracin I would like to compliment Joshua from American Idol for not sucking this week. I have wanted him to be voted off for weeks (and I still want him voted off). But this week, if he doesn't get voted off it is not because he is 'hot' or he is a 'marine' or because the viewers of the show 'have no taste', it will be because he gave as admirable a performance a country singer wannabe could possibly give singing to the BeeGees.
4-19-03: sam clary Though Sam is currently a sophomore he sports a goatee and moustache that is more full that anything that I believe that I could grow. Not that I would want one, but Sam's is quite impressive, especially considering that the last time that I saw him, his face was smooth. Way to go Sam, your are now halfway to becoming a man.
4-18-03: stephanie randall Yet another tennis related compliment. In preperation for districts I played tennis after school today even though practice was cancelled. A number of other people stayed, but most left quickly. I was really eager to play some tennis, so when all the guys wimped out of it, I started playing with the girls. Two of the three left quickly, and left me with Stephanie. We had a suprisingly rigorous practice and we hit the balls back and forth. Stephanie is probably my favourite girl on the team. She has only been playing tennis for about eight weeks, but has enough ability (I think), to land her on varsity. She was quite able to keep up with me and even get some winners during our practice, though she did mention afterward that it was the most tiring tennis practice or match she had ever had. She is dedicated, has a competitive spirit, and a nice person too. She will surely develop into one of the stars on the girls varsity team, and she is very deserving of a compliment (even though I am not very good at issuing them)(hopefully, I will improve).
4-17-03: the number one boys doubles team from florida high These guys were good. They probably kick ass everyday, and today it was mine and Danny's asses that got the pleasure. They hit the ball hard, they made it spin like crazy, they were not threatened by my strokes, and I couldn't tell which one was better. They were the best team that I have played or even seen this year. Danny and I lost 2-8, and we were proud of that 2. So even though I don't know their names, they earn my first compliment. Go number one boys doubles team from Florida High. You guys are good.
