Bailey is the most famous/infamous of our dogs. She has made German Shepherd history not just once, but EIGHT times! In 1996, at the age of two, she became the first white German Shepherd Dog to win points toward a Canadian Kennel Club conformation Championship (win pictured below).

In 1997, when she earned her CKC TDX, she became the first and only white German Shepherd Dog to earn a Tracking Dog Excellent title in North America. In 1998, she earned her AKC TDX, again with the distinction of being the first and only white GSD to have earned that title. Since that time, only one other white GSD has earned a TDX: her son, Brock!

In May of 2004, she was the first white GSD in Canada to earn a BH title. (BH = Begleithundprufung = Traffic Steady Companion Dog) The BH was implemented by the SV (German GSD club) to weed out dogs that would be dangerous to the public so they would not be able to trial for Schutzhund titles. There are two parts to the test: obedience and a temperament test under 'normal' city conditions. Dogs that fail the obedience portion cannot continue to the temperament portion.

In June of 2005, just 2 weeks shy of her 11th birthday, Bailey passed the CKC's new Urban Tracking Dog test and in doing so, became the first German Shepherd Dog to earn the UTD title in Canada (win pictured above). A short 1.5 hours later, Bailey's son Brock also passed the UTD test, making him the second GSD to earn the title!

In Oct 2005, Bailey earned her TR1, a tracking title awarded by the GSSCC (German Shepherd Schutzhund Club of Canada) under the SV rules. Our judge was Frank Mensing from British Columbia. In November 2005, she earned the TR2 in Maine, under SV judge and GSSCC President Raino Fluegge. In May of 2006, Bailey earned the last TR title (TR3) under USA judge Karen McIntyre in Maine. Bailey was the first White Shepherd to earn the TR1, TR2 & TR3 titles.

Bailey's other accomplishments include:

October 2002 - Bailey finished her American Altered Championship at the AWSA National Specialty Show in Greenfield, MA.

May 2003 - Bailey earned her FD (Flyball Dog) and FDX (Flyball Dog Excellent) titles in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She would really like to enter squirrel-chasing competitions, but I just can't find any...
