News Around The Ejah World | ||||||||||||||||||||
LEADERS TO MEET TO SOLVE PROBLEMS President Veda Tatatwa Te Midnit, Chancellor Jawat Ihaya Medisa Me, and Emperor Zya Swa Ny Ya La are looking into setting up a meeting to work out an action plan to solve many problems that have been plaguing Ejah since the year 2000. The action plan they produce will effect the legislation presented to the General Assembly of Ejah for the 2004 year. No word yet on an exact date or time, but they hope to meet within the next few months. DEBATES CONTINUE IN EJAH When Ejah joined the Fifth World Council last year and it was followed with the knowledge that two other nations who share opposing views than Ejah would be also joining, debate ignited over the membership. While at first the debate centered around the nations, it quickly became about joining groups that could require Ejah to act outside of its own sovereignty. The debate around the Fifth World Council and Ejah's engagement into the intermicronational world has brought about many who question whether this is productive for Ejah. At the same time, interest business people in Ejah are inquiring on the idea that the new connections could help jump start Ejah's economy again, an issue that still stirs debate. While Ejah enters into the intermicronational world, the intermicronational world has not been so welcome to receive Ejah. Many letters have come into the nation concerning the "reality" of Ejah and there is even skepticism over the existance of Ejah. As can be imagined, many citizens of Ejah are upset by the notion that they are "fake". As one Ejahn said "How do we know they're real?" Many have heard about the "superiority complex" that many of these nations seem to reveal in their diplomacy and the fact that most of us were at first humble about the experience to become a part of the intermicronational world, Ejahns are now finding the inferiority treatment an ill sign of any cooperation that could ever amount to harmony, unity, and peace. All of this comes as, once again, arguments and diplorable treatment between diplomats is reported from the forums of intermicronational assemblies. EJAH DAY FOUNDATION AGREES TO WORK WITH EJAH INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION 2004 may be a very different year from previous years. Instead, EjahYad (Ejah Day) may be combined with another event that falls very close and often costs much more. The Ejah Day Foundation has agreed to work with the Ejah International Organization in Oklahoma to begin preparations for the 2004 Oklahoma City Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered Pride Parade and Human Rights March that will be held again in June 2004. Last year the even turned into an entire weekend and the number of Ejahns who went doubled from earlier years. Jawat Ihaya Medisa Me of the Ta Minhara Jawat community, located in New Mexico, has suggested that Ejah participate in the festival or parade in some ways. The Ejah Day Foundation, which is responsible for preparing all Ejahn events every year, has agreed to take on the work of the OKC GLBT Pride Parade and Human Rights March with the Ejah International Organization and share the events with EjahYad. Persons wishing to participate in the planning of the event as well as participating in the event itself are encouraged to contact the Emperor at Zya_Swa@ejah.zzn.com HALALELA LESO LEADERSHIP TALKS FAIL The people of Halalela Leso have been without any leader since 2001. The Emperor and Empress have been working with the community to establish leadership, however, a recent meeting that was to be held that would have allowed interested persons to sign up for the election failed to materialize after no one showed up for the event. The Emperor and Empress have said they remain committed to the cause. EJAHN ENTERTAINERS ARE MAKING BIG WAVES 2004 has already proven very successful for some of Ejah's entertainers. Filmmaker and actor Watwa fa Ceska Kufas recently finished his film which premiered ealier this month to an audience in the Enid, OK area and will be entering next year in some film contests. At the same time, Raven Legana has been performing at the Wreck Room in OKC, wowing the crowd as well as improving her own unique style. Many in Ejah are proud of the accomplishments these and other Ejahns continue to make. IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER In just a few years, Ejahns have all had great miracles of life occur. Lit fa Shasholas was the first to give birth to Lahan Ariyah in 1999 followed by Eos Kwachi Reiv Selala in 2002 and Yyala Legana Fro Hala in 2003. Now 2004 gives way to another child by Yyala Legana Fro Hala, the Empress giving birth to a child very soon, Jasra Flapra to have a child, an Ejahn friend Chandra gave birth to a child, and now Queen C'ana Tu Ya of Rajah Vale will also be having a child. She'll also be getting married on March 5 to her long time love! PRIDE UNDERGROUND A GROWING SUCCESS Some Ejahns founded the Visible Spectrum Organization that is affiliated with Ejah back in 2003. The first project they began was to establish a newspaper that helped to bring a positive image as well as provide news for the minority groups found in the Oklahoma area. Since its founding in July of 2003, the newspaper has had some hard times, however, since December the success of the newspaper has been growing and the support from many people from Oklahoma and elsewhere is continuing to grow. Already Pride Underground has written six issues and had help from local persons who write about local issues, to people living elsewhere in the US and abroad sharing stories, comics, poetry, and more. While many Ejahns were not sure how successful the undertaking would be, it has proven to be a major tool and the Ejahns who have been working on the project have said that while they do get some negative feedback from bigots, they receive much more positive feedback from the people whom the newspaper was written for. For all the Ejahns who have helped your fellow Ejahns in this project they want to say "Thank you so much for all your help and support. We appreciate everything you have helped us do, whether through contributions, volunteering, or just helping us with ideas. Thank you so very much!" |
