Welcome to Ekaterina's Web site!Hello, My name is Ekaterina Papaioannou (pronounced kind of like pa-pa-ya-nu). I am a second year student at NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service where I am specializing in international policy in the Program of Non-profit Management and Policy. This is my final (and busiest) year at NYU and I am looking forward to graduating this May. As part of my Capstone Project I am working with the International Organization for Adolescents researching the human trafficking of adolescents in Estonia. I am also interning with the Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children in the Children and Adolescents Division where I am working on a project with refugee adolescents through email and teleconferences. In order to cover the travel costs entailed in both projects, I will be organizing two fundraisers in December so STAY TUNED! As you may have figured out already, I am really interested in promoting children's rights and am counting down the days until I graduate so I can leave New York City and finally go work overseas with refugee, internally displaced and street children. When I am not frantically trying to type papers (and create websites), I enjoy traveling, dancing, making new friends and learning about different cultures.
