These Horse Courses are designed to be taken alone or in conjunction with riding lessons This instruction will advance your horsemanship skills and knowledge and make a more complete horseperson of you! These classes will include horseback instruction but in very limited amounts it will involve lots of hands on horse contact.
The classes will be offered in a rotation on Wednesdays at 2PM and will be accompanied by written material and hands on experiences. Each session must have at least 8 participants to be held
Horsemanship I $75- 8 hrs

- Foot Health, Care and Cleaning
- General Nutrition and Health Care Basic First Aid
- Horse Breed Recognition
Horsemanship II $90 - 8 hrs
- Lunging for respect Instruction
- Tack care and inspection
- Leads and Lead changes Discussion
- Round Pen Basics
Horsemanship III $90 - 8hrs
- Bit Identification and Selection
- Understanding Reproduction Cycles in Mares
- Reading Horse Language
- Trail Rider Ettiquette
Horsemaship IV $100 - 8hrs
- Showing Horses at the Beginner Levels
- Horse Camping -what you need to take
- Horse Camping - how it is done safely
You may add a weekly riding lesson to this course for an addtional $25 per week paid in advance
If you are a current student you may add an addtional hr recreational riding to this class $15 per week paid in advance.
