Controversial musician GG Allin, who is currently serving time in a Michigan correctional institution for setting his girlfriend on fire, says that he has been unjustly sentenced and claims that he has had extra time added on for no other reason than his reputation. Allin said in a letter to the press that he will begin a hunger strike on Oct. 1 for six months. Allin is filling a lawsuit against the State of Michigan Department of Corrections and the Parole Board and is seeking $3 million in damages for "an unfair trial, discrimination and loss of income and possible damage to career." Allin claims he has a recording contract with Enigma Records, though no one at Enigma could confirm this.
