The exsanguination was progressing nicely - the man's skin was turning a fascinating greenish color. It was gratifying to see her long effort finally come to fruition, gratifying and entertaining to see the man twitch and moan and slowly grow still. She called him by the sweet pretend name "Daddy" but the pretense was getting boring. She would have to find another, equally entertaining way to dispose of the woman when the time was right. This amusement was a pleasant change of pace, the girl reflected. "Daddy" and "Mommy" had been growing tiresome lately. Boring. Everyone was boring, really. The only one that wasn't boring was the Other. She heard the Other's precise, razor-sharp thoughts echoing her own. She felt the Other's presence in her blood.
