This is the truck I wanted to buy since high school. Of course, that was a bit out of reach at the time. After the purple truck incident, I was driving around, and saw this for sale. I bought the truck I always wanted, and yup, I changed it!
'92 S-10 4x4 4.3L V6 Auto
Black interior, pushbutton 4wd, just great.
So I tweaked the torsion bars up 2", put in 3" lift leafs in the back. The repaint wasn't necessary, but after having such a great paint job on the purple one, I needed to match it. This was a 4x4, so the chrome rocker panels, trim, and pushbar seemed right. In the future, I'm sticking to a monochrome style.
PIAA dual lights - perfect for those 3 hour early AM drives home!
Ventshades, billet antenna, Rear tube bumper with built-in Class IV hitch, Dual exhuast...this one got toys..
Summer Clothes:
ARE Chrome Snipers
255-70R15 Grand Am G/T street tires
Winter Clothes:
Factory ARE rims painted black
30 x 9.50-15 BFG All-Terrain K/O
These tires have saved my butt numerous times. Of course, it would be easier if I didn't drive where I wasn't supposed to...
I built a bike rack to plug into the receiver hitch, complete with its own taillights.
Snuglid Snugtop tonneau cover- highly recommended..
This truck works, too. It's put on MANY miles hauling my drumsets. If only the box was 2" taller, I could close (and lock) the tonneau cover. Obviously, none of the engineers at Chevy played drums when this truck was designed.
For you truck people, also hiding underneath are Rancho RS9000 shocks and steering stabilizer.

Traded off to the dealer for the Grand AM
I got a little bored, and found the red paint.
Yes, that's the Rancho logo in black.
The exhaust was cut of behind the cat, and we ran two pipes straight out the tail. I can't tell you how many people thought it sounded like a V8!
