I
looked at my watch..."ten minutes", I thought to myself, "better take a
cab for the next three blocks, no time to walk."
Under a minute later I was in
my own little yellow cab with a unique urine smell, as the cars behind
us honked"
I thought about an old saying
my father had told me long ago, "the definition of a millisecond:
the time between when a light turns green and when people start honking
in Chicago."
BEEP!!!!!!!!
For some strange reason the
car behind my taxi figured the honking might make my driver hurry up...after
all, I'm sure to him the red light isn't as important as his meeting.
Though I did wish this light would hurry up...because I had the distinct
impression of someone watching me... |
