The pictures below are shots of the rear of the tank. The rear idle asemblies are fully functional, they were made with 11 gauge steel and steel epoxie. Track tension can be applied by loosing the nut and rotating the idle wheel forward or backward. I have pictures of this piece being made and plan on writing a small article on its construction in the near future. The nut on the end has been changed to reflect the correct scale as seen in the photo further down. |

The exhaust pipes are also functional, they were made using copper pipe tack welded onto a steel flat washer. The body is built up using steel epoxie. Once the motor has been mounted in the tank, the exhaust will be directed through these two pipes. The three retaining bolts for the back access panel have not been installed in this photo. Also note the very bottom angle plate not yet installed. |

Below are some of the first shots of the new track (after many redesigns!) which is an all metal construction. The first designs used cast resin for the middle and end connectors. The new design uses alunimum and steel. No casting involved, the links themselves are cut from aluminum bar stock. I have planned a new updated article about building the new style tracks. |
