RAPTOR CLASS SECURITY VESSEL
This vessel is intended for use in groups of two or three to protect cargo convoys. It is also popular as a defense ship for prosperous asteroids and stations. This is an average acceleration, but a great maneuverability. The security vessels are usually used as escorts and as defensive ships so they don't often pursue. The maneuverability makes them able to accelerate quickly in any direction during a fight. This makes these ships very hard to hit from longer ranges where the lightspeed gap becomes a factor.
