This is a subdirectory. Main Page: Elias Prophecy Index. The Herodian Dynasty Resurrected? Herod Ascalonita (Herod the Great) (The Great Hero, Born of Ashkelon) Herod is a blashemous name: Greek version of the Hebrew "hagibborim" (used of the offspring of the HaNphilim in Gen. 6) The Giants -Heroes- men of a name; renown; men of old. Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, Ashdod, and Gath: The five cities of the "lords of the Philistines." Herod the Great, born in Ashkelon, Gained the favor of Marcus Antonius and Octavius and was proclaimed “King of the Jews” by the Roman Senate 40-39BC. He went back to Jerusalem and took it by force in 37BC, (with the help of Rome). He raised taxes for Cyrenius of Syria for the Romans. (Luke 2:1-7) He reigned from 37BC until his death by a vile, putred sickness in 4BC. Daniel 11:20 “Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.” He murdered all male children of Behtlehem under two years old, (interestingly some estimate this number to be at 144,000), in an attempt to kill Christ; the true “King of the Jews.” (Matt. 2:1-12) He ruled Judea, Samaria, and almost all of “Palestine,” under the watchfull eye of Rome. Herod the great had six sons; three of which he had killed before they could kill him. Those three were Antipater, Alexander, and Aristobulus. We know that Antipater was beheaded, a common practice amoung Arabs/Moslems even today. The Three that survived their father, reigned over his kingdom after his death, and are also referenced in the New Testament. Those three were Archelaus, Philip, and Antipas. They received their fathers kingdom divided amongst themselves by order of Augustus Caesar. In his final will; Herod had divided the kingdom between them, yet proclaimed Archelaus “King.” “King” Archelaus Shortest rulership of the three sons. He ruled Judea and Samaria from 4BC until he was banished by Rome in 6AD: 9 years. The Jews had complained continually to Rome about his leadership. His place in scripture is in Matt. 2:22 were Joseph decides to take Mary and Jesus to live in Galilee for fear of Herod’s son Archelaus. (This was upon their return from Egypt.) Philip the Tetrarch Philip ruled the NorthEast quadrant of “Palestine,” wherein lies the city Bethsaida. Philip is not mentioned as being significant in the New Testament, though he is listed as Tetrarch, (Luke 3:1). However, a city bearing his name is important enough to be mentioned; the city called “Caesarea Philippi” is where Peter confessed that Jesus was the “Christ:” the Meshiach. Philip built the city. Herod Antipas (The Great Hero, “Anti”-Like His Father) Tetrarch of Galilee and Perea Herod Antipas was the next to take the name “Herod” after his father Herod the Great. Though he strove to be King of the Jews like his father; he was never given that title. In fact, that desire, (spurred on by his wife), was his ultimate downfall. He finally went to Rome seeking a Royal Title and was subsequently banished by Caesar. He ruled from 4BC until 39AD. His places in scripture are these: In Matt. 14:1-2, Mark 6:14-29, and Luke 9:7-9, he has John the baptist arrested and later beheaded. (Am I detecting a trend here?) In Luke 13:32 Jesus calls him “that fox,” signifying a much more sinister reality than anyone has heretofore explained of this uncrowned king, (prophesied through Daniel). Finally, in Luke 23:6-12, Jesus is sent to Herod Antipas by Pilate (who realizes that Christ is from Galilee : Herod’s jurisdiction). Herod Antipas had the power to stop the innocent Jesus Christ from being killed. Howerver he had his soldiers mock the L-rd and sent him back to Pilate to be crucified. Daniel 11:22 “And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.” There would be only two more rulers of this Dynasty in the times of the former Israeli Nation, but there is yet one more to rule in modern times. Herod Agrippa I The son of Aristobulus and Bernice, and a grandson of Herod the Great. At the beginning he was made Tetrarch of the small sliver of country formerly held by Lysanias II. He had become a close associate and confidant of Caesar Gaius (Caligula). On many an occasion the children of rulers were taken to Rome as captives to ensure that their father-kings ruled their respective kingdoms in accordance with Roman wishes. It is said that Agrippa I actually served as the personal tutor for Caligula in his youth. In 37AD Agrippa was given the Tetrarchy that Philip had ruled. In 39AD he acquired the former territory of Herod Antipas, his other uncle. Finally; in 41AD he was given most of what remained of “Palestine,” (Judea, Samaria, and Idumea), by Caesar Claudius. For a brief period Herod Agrippa I ruled all of the territory that his grandfather Herod the Great had ruled. For about three years he was “King of the Jews.” In Acts 12:1-19 He has James (the brother of John) put to death and throws the Apostle Peter in jail, thus begins the “state sponsored” persecution of the Christians. (For Agrippa saw that it pleased the Jews.) The death of Herod Agrippa I is also recorded in Acts 12:21-23. I will quote it here because we are told that “the angel of the L-rd” actually smote him, (for accepting worship from men and not giving the glory to G-d). Acts 12:21-23 21) “And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them. 22) And the people gave a shout, saying, it is the voice of a god, and not of a man. 23) And immediately the angel of the L-rd smote him, because he gave not G-d the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.” Now this is a curious thing, knowing what we know about Michael the Archangel and his duty to “stand watch” over Israel! See:"Rapture Studies: Part I." Could it be that Satan has already attempted once to set up his AntiChrist little horn? Could it be that the timing was wrong so Micheal was given the order to strike down Herod Agrippa? Could it be also that when the real AntiChrist is raised up, Michael will be called from his post to fight a war in heaven? Certainly many a Ceasar had demanded worship as a god, even Antiochus 4 Epiphanies' blasphemous name denotes "the appearance of G-d." Yet none of them were said to be smitten by an angel of the L-rd. Why this king? Because the Herods may just be the true lineage of the coming little horn, but the timing was wrong. Just as the timing was wrong when Nimrod, (possibly the first of the giants after the flood,) built the tower of Babel in Babylon. He had communion with the demonic forces of the heavens (UFO's?), and this was likely the reason for building the tower, at Babel, that would "reach unto heaven:" (to bring the demonic rulers of the heavens down to earth and into an unholy, and abominable, communionship with man). Nimrod's name is also Asshur which means "to make strong" or to "fortify," hence the god of "fortresses," or "fortifications." This is likely why G-d came down and confused the languages..... The timing of Satan was not the timing of our L-rd! Herod Agrippa I died in 44AD. Herod Agrippa II Upon the death of Agrippa I “Palestine” was put under the authority of the proconsul of Syria (once again). Israel was ruled temporarily by procurators such as Antonius Felix and Porcius Festus, and Florus. In 50AD, during the reign of Caesar Claudius, the son of Herod Agrippa I was given the former territory that was ruled (initially) by Philip, and given authority over the Jewish temple. He to took the name “Herod” and is known to us as Herod Agrippa II. The Roman Emporer Nero increased Agrippa II’s authority and power in 54AD. In 56AD he was also given Galilee and Perea. In Acts 26:1-28 we have the famous interview with the Apostle Paul before this Herod. Amazingly, Paul almost persuaded Herod Agrippa II into becoming a Christian. In 66AD, years of tension came to a head and war broke out between the various factions in Israel. Herod Agrippa II played his role for the government of Rome, and by the time Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed, in 70AD, Herod Agrippa II was safe in Rome. Agrippa II had openly supported the Roman invasion of the Glorious Land in order to put down the rebellion, (which was caused by procurator Florus’ plundering the temple treasury, the “corban.”) After the war, that ended in 70AD, Israel was converted into a Roman Province. When the Bar Cochba revolt was put down by the Romans, in 135AD, the Jews were expelled from all of their land. Interestingly Herod Agrippa II, (the sixth of this Dynasty), died in 100AD, after John had received the book of the Revelation, (check for yourself: you’ll find it’s true). So when John is told of the seven kings of the beast: “five have fallen, one is, and the other is not yet come,” John would have thought of Herod Agrippa II as the one that still “is.” Amazingly we have come full circle in that part of the world. Once again we have an Arab ruler, ruling over Judea and Samaria, (West Bank), from one of the five cities of the Canaanite kings, (Gaza) who has been installed by the European powers, (Rome), and the West. If Yasser Arafat was the seventh of these kings; (and he did rule over Judea and Samaria,) than we are very near the “time of Jacobs trouble” and the return of our L-rd Jesus Christ. The eighth king is "of the seven," and rises out of the abyss. When this happens the man of sin will be revealed, for all the world will worship him. He is the “eighth, and of the seven, and goeth into perdition.” Revelation 17:1-18 1 “And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: 2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. 4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: 5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. 9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. 12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is L-rd of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For G-d hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of G-d shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.” Now I must say that the Herodian kings fulfill this prophecy to the very letter, even the blasphemous names: “Herod,” (the great Hero, or the song/ode of the Hero, hence: Hero-ode). Rome is the physical embodiment of the spiritual hierarchy of evil that rules from the heavenly realm at present. Therefore Rome (meaning the West) could be the one destroyed by the ten kings who will give their kingdom to the Beast. If so, it will happen before the onset of the last half of Daniel's 70th week. This is foretold in Revelation 14:8, the first fall of Babylon is before the great tribulation and it happens as the angels proclaim the gospel to the entire world and warn mankind not to take the mark! A far cry from what the modern shepherds have told us about Europe and their revived Roman Empire = Beast scam! That teaching is designed to lead Christians strait to antichrist when the West is destroyed, thinking that the antichrist will be who he claims to be....the Messiah. It is no coincidence that the first six kings of the coming Beast are listed in the New Testament right under our noses, and the modern shepherds have concealed this truth from the body of Christ! This interpretation also fits Daniel chapter 11 perfectly, if we realize that Dan. 11:15-19 speaks of Antiochus 4 Epiphanes, (“he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.”) and if verse 18 speaking of “a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease;” is speaking about the Maccabean revolt that ended the campaigns of Antiochus 4 Epiphanes. He was the last of the Seleucid Kings to invade Israel, the Jews then ruled themselves temporarily until the “raiser of taxes,” Herod the Great, came along. Antiochus 4 Epiphanes Daniel 11:15-17 15. “So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand. 16. But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed. 17. He shall also set his face to enter with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; thus shall he do: and he shall give him the daughter of women, corrupting her: but she shall not stand on his side, neither be for him.” Now the modern shepherds claim this verse was fulfilled by Antiochus III the Great, but since he was welcomed so warmly by the Jews when he entered their land, he definately never "consumed" it! So the moderns claim that "consumed" here means that the holy land fell "completely under his sway" or influence. However, this is another totally bogus interpretation of the Hebrew, and they know better! They claim to be scholars and they have failed to mention what the word translated "consumed" actually means here. The Hebrew word is kalah, (strongs #03617), here is what strongs says about it: Strong's Hebrew Definition for # 03617 03617 // hlk // kalah // kaw-law' // from 03615 ; TWOT - 982a; n f AV - ...end 11, altogether 3, consume 3, consumption 2, consummation 1, determined 1, riddance 1; 22 1) completion, termination, full end, complete destruction, consumption, annihilation 1a) completion 1a1) completely, altogether (adv) 1b) complete destruction, consumption, annihilation The Maccabean (Hasmonean) Revolt Daniel 11:18-19 18. “After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him. 19. Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.” Herod the Great Daniel 11:20 20. “Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.” Herod Antipas Daniel 11:21-22 21. “And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. 22. And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.” [Prince=Nagiyd: Meshiach] Here is where the "break" in the prophecy takes place! It is the same break that takes place at the mid-point of Daniel's 70th week; when Meshiach Nagiyd (Jesus) was "cut off." Herod Antipas was ruled by the beast that "was" and, from the time of John until now; "is not," and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit: the demon king of the Herodian Dynasty that Killed Christ. Herod Antipas II, AntiChrist? Daniel 11:23-45 23. “And after the league made with him [Literally: "after they join themselves with him"] he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people. 24. He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time. 25. And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they shall forecast devices against him. 26. Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall overflow: and many shall fall down slain. 27. And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed. 28. Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; [Holy covenant, not "league!"] and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land. 29. At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter. 30. For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant. 31. And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate. 32. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their G-d shall be strong, and do exploits. 33. And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. 34. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. 35. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed. 36. And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the G-d of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. 37. Neither shall he regard the G-d of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. 38. But in his estate shall he honour the god of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. 39. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. 40. And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. 41. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. 42. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. 44. But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many. 45. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.” |

Recent Article! New Light! I offer the following portion of a very revealing article written by Aryey Dayan for Ha’aretz Daily, with my comments to follow. Partial clipping of an Ha’aretz article Sunday, December 8, 2002 Barak began referring to the `Holy of Holies' By Aryeh Dayan In early September 2000, about two months after Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat returned empty-handed from the failed summit at Camp David, a series of clandestine contacts was held in Jerusalem between Israelis and Palestinians. Most of the meetings took place in an isolated private home in the western Jerusalem suburb of Ein Karem, and were meant to find a formula that would resolve the harsh dispute that broke out at the summit around the future of the Temple Mount. The talks were held at the home of Dr. Moshe Amirav, the man who was appointed the day after the Camp David debacle as the prime minister's adviser on the issue of a permanent settlement in Jerusalem. He continued to serve in this capacity through the Taba talks, and until Barak left the Prime Minister's Office. Seated alongside side Amirav at some of the conversations was Danny Yatom, who headed the political-security staff at the Prime Minister's Office at the time. In these conversations, the Palestinians were represented by the late Faisal Husseini, who headed the Palestinian negotiating team on Jerusalem. The dispute over the Temple Mount had nothing to do with practical arrangements that would be implemented there. Both the Palestinians and the Israelis agreed to leave intact the arrangements that had been in place since the Six-Day War, in accordance with which the site is administered by the Muslim Waqf [Moslem religious trust] without Israeli intervention. The crux of the dispute centered on sovereignty, and nothing else. While Arafat demanded that the entire Temple Mount - Haram al-Sharif in the Arab terminology - would be under full and exclusive sovereignty of the Palestinians, Barak demanded that partial sovereignty over the site - which, to the disbelief of several of his colleagues in the Israeli delegation, he suddenly began to call "The Holy of Holies" - would remain in Israel's possession. Amirav and Husseini, whose Ein Karem conversations took place with Barak and Arafat's knowledge, worked out a formula that both men believed would be able to circumvent this difference of opinion. According to the proposal they drafted, the United Nations would establish a "commonwealth of states," in whose hands the Temple Mount would be entrusted. This commonwealth of nations would have 11 member states: the five permanent members of the UN Security Council; Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinian state that would be established as part of the peace treaty, and Israel. Ongoing administration of the Mount, stated the document, would remain in the Waqf's domain, and Yasser Arafat "could be the guardian of the sites holy to Islam." The proposal, described by Amirav in a recently published booklet ("The Palestinian Struggle for Jerusalem," published by the Jerusalem Institute for Israel Studies), was welcomed by the United States and Egypt after it was presented for study to Barak and Arafat. Barak said that he found it acceptable, but assessed that Arafat would reject it. "Husseini came back from his meeting with Arafat bearing a negative response," writes Amirav. "When I asked what he was basing his optimism on when he drafted the proposal together with me, he answered that it was a proposal to which Arafat had already agreed prior to Camp David." "At the end of that month," Amirav writes on the same page, "the visit to the Temple Mount by opposition head Ariel Sharon took place. The visit was held with the approval of the government of Israel, in spite of Arafat and Husseini's request that the government prevent it ...the Temple Mount once again became the focal point for conflagration." Now talk about prophecy being fulfilled! If this plan were to be finally enacted it would fulfill most of what the book of Daniel says about the little horn’s rise to power! It includes the “Iron and the Clay” nations of Daniel 2, (the five permenant UN Security Counsel members: US, Britain, France, Russia, and China represent the Iron nations with all the power). The other five “Clay” toes would be Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Israel. The “little horn” of this plan would be the newly created Palestinian State, and its ruler. And he would have control of the “holy” sites of Islam on the temple mount. The book of Daniel has some other interesting things to say about this little horn: KJV Daniel 7:7-8 7. “After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 8. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” KJV Daniel 7:16-25 16 “I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. 17 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. 18 But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. 19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; 20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. 21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; 22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. 23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” Now if the UN, (or the "Quartet"), created this new “Commonwealth of States,” it would have the backing of the whole world, (the UN, EU, USA, etc.), and the crushing strength of the five most powerful armies in the world: US, Britain, France, Russia, and China! Truly this last “beast” would be dreadful, terrible, exceedingly strong, and most importantly; diverse from all the other kingdoms before it! And supposedly its main goal is to “administer” the holy mount in Jerusalem! Now when the eleventh little horn state of Palestine joins: who might we think will be chosen to rule this Commonwealth of Nations? It remains to be seen whether the little horn is Israel or the new state of "Palestine" if, and when, it arises. Now we read here also that he will pluck up, or uproot, three of the ten horns. In other places, in the book of Daniel, we are given more clues as to who these three might be: What country is the “Pleasant Land?” Of course we all know this alludes to Israel, and it could be refering to the taking of Judea and Samaria, (the west bank), for the new Palestinian state, and maybe even more of Israel. What country is to the south of this area? Egypt of course, and the territorial extension of the Gaza strip. Egypt is the “king of the south,” according to another verse in Daniel: KJV Daniel 11:40-43 40. “And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. 41. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many [countries] shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. 42. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape. 43. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps." Now the word “countries” in verse 41 is not in the text; it was added by the translators. You will notice it in italics if you have a KJV Bible. So this passage actually implies that Edom, Ammon, and Moab, are already a part of the nation of Israel, or maybe Judea and Samaria. For it mentions the three nations that now make up west Jordan as the part of the “glorious land,” that will escape the king of the north; maybe that is because by this time, Jordan’s king has already been “plucked up," or maybe it is because Jordan is already allied with the US and Israel. Amazingly; Egypt, Jordan, “Palestine,” and Israel, are all among the list of “commonwealth of states” that the UN had planned to bring to power. This could be the final plan that Daniel forsees, or it could be the pseudo-plan that will be the decoy, it’s hard to tell from here. We must be vigilant and watch! |
