Revelation 6:12-17
12.) “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13.) And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14.) And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15.) And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16.) And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17.) For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”
Now notice that the moon is not said to be darkened, this is important, it is said to become “as blood.” There are two different times that the sun and moon are affected, here at the beginning of the great tribulation and again at the end of it. At the end of the great tribulation the sun and moon are both darkened and do not give their light, and this is besides the sun burning seven times brighter because of the fourth vial or bowl judgment, (Rev.16: 8-9).
The description we are given here in Rev.6: 12-17 can only be accomplished by one thing. The clue is not found in what happens to the sun and moon. The clue is that the stars appear to fall to earth. Now we know that the stars are not going to actually fall to earth, but they will have the appearance of falling to earth. What could cause this to happen? Only one thing could cause the stars to look as if they were falling to earth, a Polar Axis Flip! Think about it, your standing outside one night staring at the stars, and suddenly there comes a great earthquake, the stars appear to fall to earth as they crash down below the earth’s horizon, what has just happened? It could only be a Polar Axis Flip, and your night sky would suddenly become daylight! If you were in the Northern Hemisphere, then you would now be in the Southern Hemisphere!
Notice that this passage also claims that every mountain and island is moved out of its place, a Polar Axis Flip also would accomplish this. Now picture yourself relaxing on the porch one day, enjoying the sunshine of a warm summer day, suddenly there comes a great earthquake, and the sky appears to depart “as a scroll when it is rolled together.” Your warm sunny day has just become nighttime, a cold wind begins to howl and it begins to snow. If you were in the Southern Hemisphere you would now be in the Northern Hemisphere, and you would have just witnessed the earth flipping on its axis! I hope you don’t live anywhere near a large body of water!
Notice also this; the mountains and islands are moved but not destroyed, at the end of this passage men hide in the dens, and in the rocks of the mountains. Also of note is that the men say that “the great day of his wrath has come,” but G-d does not say this is the time of his wrath. The great day truly does come at this time, but G-d’s wrath does not come until later. As we shall see, mankind causes this catastrophe. G-d has provided many passages of scripture that describe this day of the sixth seal, and they will show us that this is the beginning of the great tribulation.
Now as I said, the moon turning blood red is important, it links this passage to the book of Joel. Joel chapter two speaks of the great day of the L-rd, and it puts the northern army (the Magog coalition) in its proper time frame, the time of the sixth seal.
Joel 2:20-32
20.) “But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.
21.) Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the L-rd will do great things.
22.) Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
23.) Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the L-rd your G-d: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
24.) And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.
25.) And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the
cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
26.) And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the L-rd your G-d, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.
27.) And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the L-rd your G-d, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
28.) And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29.) And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
30.) And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.
31.) The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the L-rd come.
32.) And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the L-rd shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the L-rd hath said, and in the remnant whom the
L-rd shall call.”
Here we have the moon being turned blood red and the sun turned to darkness, and this passage tells us definitively that this will happen “before the great and terrible day of the L-rd come”! So then, why is G-d so angry with the northern army, and what are the great things that he has done? In these modern times we understand, it is because Russia has continuously supplied all of the Arab enemies of Israel with lethal deadly weapons to use against G-d’s chosen nation. When Russia comes down to attack, all of these countries they have helped against Israel will be with them, this is the Magog coalition, and the first Magog war at the sixth seal. We shall now look at the passage in Ezekiel 38 that corresponds to the sixth seal.
Ezekiel 38:18-23
18.) “And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the L-rd G-d, that my fury shall come up in my face.
19.) For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
20.) So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21.) And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the L-rd G-d: every man's sword shall be against his brother.
22.) And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23.) Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the L-rd.”
Now we have here the great earthquake of Rev.6: 12, Ezekiel says that all the men of earth will shake at G-d’s presence, and there will be a great shaking in the land of Israel. Notice also that the mountains will be thrown down, but in the very next verse G-d calls for a sword against Gog throughout all the mountains of Israel. Does this mean that only Israel’s mountains will not be thrown down? Of course not, what it must be then is this: the mountains that are thrown down are kingdoms, the Polar Axis Flip will cause this.
When the Magog armies attack Israel a nuclear-atomic exchange will take place. The nuclear exchange will cause the raining down of fire, brimstone, and great hailstones, and it will cause the Polar Axis Flip. The confusion described in Ezekiel 38: 21 (every mans sword against his brother) will be caused by the fact that all of Russia’s satellite systems and G.P.S. systems will become defunct! Their satellites will either crash to earth, or at the very least, they will be on the other side of the planet because of the flip! Now we shall look at some of the other passages of scripture that tell us more about the sixth seal.
Luke 21:25-26
25.) “And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26.) Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.”
Now I did not highlight anything in this passage because once I started to highlight I realized that the whole passage would need to be done! This passage, spoken by Jesus Christ, fits hand in glove with what we understand about the sixth seal! Notice specifically the sea and waves roaring. The Axis Flip will cause the seas to come up over their boundaries. Notice also that men’s hearts will fail them for fear, and for looking after those things that are coming. To say “those things which are coming” means that this is the beginning of it all! The last thing about this passage brings us to the next passage: the powers of heaven will be shaken. This is the war between Michael the Archangel and Satan the Devil. This is when Satan and his angels are kicked out of heaven, and this happens at the start of the great tribulation.
Isaiah 34:4
4.) “And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.”
Here the hosts of heaven that are dissolved are the Devil and his angels cast to earth, there will no longer be a battle going on in the heavenly realm as there is now. The principalities and powers will be cast to earth, and they will become physical in that they will inhabit the bodies of wicked men, remember the iron mixed with miry clay? As Lucifer and his angels are kicked out of heaven, the sky will be rolled up as a scroll and the stars will fall down, just as in Rev.6: 13-14 at the sixth seal. Isaiah even includes the fig tree terminology of Rev.6! Precept upon precept, line upon line.
Now the entire twenty-fourth chapter of Isaiah is dedicated to the subject at hand. It gives us the start of the great tribulation with the Polar Axis Flip and the fall to earth of Lucifer and his angels.
Isaiah 24:1-23
1.) “Behold, the L-rd maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
2.) And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.
3.) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the L-rd hath spoken this word.
4.) The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.
5.) The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.
6.) Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.”
(Sorry but I must stop right here. What is the curse that will devour the whole earth? Remember what we read in Zechariah? The curse is the seven-sealed book that we learned of in the book of the Revelation!)
7.) “The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh.
8.) The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.
9.) They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it.
10.) The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in.
11.) There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone.
12.) In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.
13.) When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.
14.) They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the L-rd, they shall cry aloud from the sea.
15.) Wherefore glorify ye the L-rd in the fires, even the name of the L-rd G-d of Israel in the isles of the sea.
16.) From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.
17.) Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
18.) And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
19.) The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
20.) The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
21.) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the L-rd shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.
22.) And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited.
23.) Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the L-rd of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.”
Here we have the earth fading away, we have the earth turned upside down, and we have the earth defiled under the inhabitants thereof, because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, and broken the everlasting covenant. People this is telling us what will cause the great Polar Axis Flip! Transgressing the laws of nature and changing the ordinance is exactly what man has done with nuclear-atomic weapons! When they are finally used on the battlefield they will cause the great Polar Axis Flip! The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall fall and not rise again. This means that once the earth flips on its axis it will remain that way, north will be south and south will be north. At this same time G-d will punish the host of the high ones that are on high (v.21), the principalities and powers that rule the nations from the heavenly realm, the Satanic hierarchy.
Now verse 23 comes at the end of the great tribulation and it does not say that the moon turns blood red, but it says the moon will be confounded (not showing its light), just as the sun will be ashamed and not show its light.
The next passage we shall look at is in Zechariah, it gives the possible time of day in Israel that this Polar Axis flip will take place.
Zechariah 14:5-7
5.) “And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the L-rd my G-d shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6.) And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7.) But it shall be one day which shall be known to the L-rd, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.”
Now the context here dictates that the primary interpretation of verses six and seven be at the return of our L-rd, but what if verses six and seven have a double fulfillment like many other prophecies? Remember this: when the scriptures say “that day” or “in that day” they usually speak of the day of the L-rd, which is a thousand years. So this passage could have a double fulfillment so long as both fulfillments happened “in that day.” This would mean that one day in Israel’s near future; evening will come around and suddenly it will become light, or morning, which is the opposite of evening.
The Polar Axis Flip will wreak havoc on the entire planet, but it will also destroy the calendars of those nations that use a lunar calendar. With the earth spinning upside down it will be moving the opposite direction of the moon! The moon will slow down, eventually to a stop, and then reverse course. This will become important later in this discussion, but first we must look at some verses from Daniel.
Daniel 2:20-22
20) “Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of G-d for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21) And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
22) He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.”
We know that the seasons change because of the movement of the earth around the sun and the tilt of the earth’s axis, and these things G-d controls, but Daniel is not talking about the normal changing of the seasons, G-d is truly going to rearrange the times and seasons! This is amazing because to flip the earth on its axis would mean that the seasons would be reversed. Summer in Israel would become winter, and the winter months would become summer, is G-d going to make the seventh month of Tishri the first month? Rather, he could make the first month the latter. It is possible, we just read a verse that suggests just such a thing happening; did you catch it? I will quote it again,
Joel 2:23
23.) “Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the L-rd your G-d: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.”
How can the former (Spring) rain and the latter (autumn) rain both come in the first month (Nisan)? The former things will pass away, the Polar Axis Flip will change the seasons, and spring will be fall, and winter will be summer!
Daniel 7:24-25
24.) “And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25.) And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”
Now we know why the Antichrist will think to change times and law! Now we know how G-d will truly shorten the last days! It is quite possible that the earth will go back to its original 360-day cycle around the sun! This could be why the seventieth week of Daniel is 2520 days! This could be why the ministry of Christ was 1260 days! And this could be why the last half of the seventieth week is also 1260 days!
We now come to the "sun" portion of Rev.6: 12, whereas the stars falling to earth were the clue that led us thus far, the darkening of the sun is a clue that leads us from this point onward. “The sun became black as sackcloth of hair,” it is quite obvious that this is the description of a total solar eclipse. However, there are no known total solar eclipses that are to take place over Israel for the next decade and longer.
I did find one eclipse on the Internet that sparked my interest though. It takes place on April 8th 2005, and this date is what caught my attention, for it comes only fifteen days before Passover 2005, the possible date of the beginning of the great tribulation. It turns out that this particular eclipse is a rare hybrid eclipse. It will be a partial, total, and annular eclipse depending on where you are viewing it. It begins off the coast of New Zealand at sunrise local time, but more precisely 18:54 Universal Time, which is 8:54 pm Israeli time. It comes to full eclipse over the South Pacific Ocean and ends somewhere over the northern countries of the South American continent in a partial eclipse.
In order to see the total eclipse one would have to be in the middle of the South Pacific. However; by looking at a globe I quickly realized that Israel is directly on the other side of the globe from where this eclipse takes place! If the Polar Axis flip were a full 180 degrees, and it happened the evening of April 8th 2005, then Israel would be directly under this total eclipse of the sun. Now this flip would have to happen at precisely the right time for all of this to pan out, and the odds of this happening are astronomically against it happening this way. So if it is to happen, at the proper time, on April 8th 2005 then it will be an act of
G-d. What I mean is this: if the nuclear option is used at that time, G-d may cause the flip in order to save Israel from complete annihilation. So then, yes mankind changing the ordinance will cause it, but no nuclear weapon could cause the earth to flip on its axis, it will be an act of G-d caused by the sins of mankind!
It is definitely coming we are just not sure of what year it is to come. When it does happen I believe it will be at evening time in Jerusalem, and suddenly it will become morning. If it does happen April 8th 2005; then suddenly the new moon will appear at daylight and eclipse the sun, turning it “black as sackcloth.” April 8th, 2005 is the 29th of Adar2 (in 2005); the next day is Nisan 1. Now this new moon would have arrived in the spring, but because of the flip it would be arriving in what would now be fall in Israel! Everything would be reversed; Israel would see a new moon at Nisan 1 in the fall, this is the former and the latter rain in the first month!!!
Now as for the blood red moon, it may come on Passover of that same year! On Passover, April 24, 2005 there is also a Lunar eclipse over the South Pacific Ocean!! This eclipse comes just 16 (15 1/2?) days after the Solar eclipse of April 8, 2005! Now the amazing thing about this Lunar eclipse of Passover 2005 is that it is a “Penumbral only” type eclipse! The staggering implications of this are unbelievable, a Penumbral eclipse of the moon means that the moon travels only through that portion of the earth’s shadow that still has sunlight refracting through it! This is the very thing that turns the moon red! With a possible Axis Flip, just 15 days before this Lunar eclipse, there is the distinct possibility that volcanoes would be spewing ash into the atmosphere, thus making the moon “blood red” from all of the debris in the atmosphere. On top of all this it will be at a Fall harvest moon in April!
Now as I said before, if the earth is spinning upside down, then it is spinning the opposite direction of the moon, so the moon would slow down, eventually to a stop, and reverse course. This could possibly prolong the blood red moon over Israel; the moon could be blood red much longer than expected in a normal Lunar eclipse. The moon travels much slower than the earth spins. The earth takes just twenty-four hours to rotate 360 degrees on its axis, resulting in one day, but the moon takes about 27 1/2 days to travel around the earth. So one would think that it would not take much time to slow the moon down with the earth spinning against the moon’s direction of orbit. Theoretically it seems that it should take about 14 to 16 days. It could thinkably come to a stop right in the middle of its Penumbral blood red eclipse on April 24, Passover 2005. This also has many other implications for signs in the heavens that are now unforeseen by scientists or any of us.
The Polar Axis Flip will cause worldwide destruction, astrologers and stargazers will no longer have their lucrative practice; great nations and their economies will be destroyed. The world economic and religious system will be destroyed, and this is when “Mystery Babylon” is wiped out. Japan will be under water for a time, southern Europe will be flooded, and the U.S. will suffer great losses of landmass. Once the oceans come up over mountainous areas, the waters in many places will have nowhere to run off. Britain will be under water temporarily; all of these great empires will be caught unaware, all of these great empires will be destroyed, all of those who had ships on the seas will mourn, and all of those who were made rich by her luxuries will weep for their great city-empire.
It is very likely that the whore, “Mystery Babylon,” speaks to us of the Democratic nations of the world. It also speaks to us of the principalities and powers who rule the world system from the heavenly realm. Amazingly, at the same time as the war in heaven (when Satan and his angels are cast out) there will be a nuclear war on earth.
Revelation 17:16-18
16.) “And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17.) For G-d hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of G-d shall be fulfilled.
18.) And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”
"Desolate and naked" present to us a barren landscape, nothing but rubble. Some of us remember pictures what happened to Hiroshima and Nagasaki, can there be a more graphic depiction of nuclear-atomic war than “eating her flesh, and burning her with fire?” The ten horns are the final ten kings of the Antichrist kingdom; can you picture Europe doing something like this? I can’t but I have no problem picturing the Arab League and Russia doing something like this! The great city, Mystery Babylon, rules over the Democratic nations who rule over the kings of the earth.
They buy, sell, and trade all over the planet; they hold sway over peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. The powerful nations of earth are controlled by Mystery Babylon, the demonic powers and principalities of the heavens; the powers of the heavens that are soon to be shaken by G-d!
Who hates the Democratic nations more than the Moslems? The Arab nations, with Russia, will attack with nuclear-atomic weapons, and when they do Michael the Archangel will be told to cast out Satan and his angels from heaven. At that time the earth will undergo the prophesied Polar Axis Flip, the stars will appear to fall to the earth, and Satan will drag a third of the stars with him as he is cast out of heaven.
This is the sixth seal and the restarting of G-d’s clock on the nation of Israel, the last half of the seventieth week. The times of the gentiles will have arrived; they will trample the holy city under foot forty-two months, “for these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.”
