This page is dedicated to the memory of Ron Chadd, who passed away on the 29th of October 1999, he was deeply loved and will be sadly missed by myself and his two Sons.
Ron was the type of guy who could light up a room just by walking into it, and make you laugh, even in your darkest moments. He was a hopeless Romantic, but he was waging a war within himself that even those closest to him could never have seen.
He fought against adversaries that were as real to him as his death is to us. They took toll of his energies and endurance, they exhausted the last vestiges of his courage and strength, until they overwhelmed and consumed him, he lost his battle....dying by his own hand.
At the time of his death Ron and I had been seperated, Divorced, and then reconciled. The boys and I will be for ever grateful that he spent the last few months of his life back home with us, and no one will ever be able to take that away, that is ours to keep forever, but as long as I live I will carry the guilt that I didn't hear his cries for help, and like many others will always ask the unanswerable question "WHY"
I hate the thought that his final tragic act, will be the last thing he is remembered for, when there are so many wonderful memories.
So I have chosen to forgive him, and I will not presume to fathom his mind or Judge him. His battle is Over.....But I wish I didn't have to miss him.
