And here's what they said:

Mike: We are currently working on our new record, this is all of us right here, in this really cool place in Malibu
Brandon: Ah, dude, Snorks!
Mike: Yeah, pretty cool, ok good (laughing). The best thing I can say about our new music, is that it's going to be like the old shit, but      older, and ah, it's I don't know, I can't explain it, it's really different, it's very different, I mean it's going to surprise a lot of people,     some  people mite nor like it, but some people will, it's a lot more energetic and fast
Brandon: yeah, it's a lot faster then the other stuff, isn't it
Mike: Yeah, and a lot of it's more I guess like technical, I guess in the vain of some of our older songs, it doesn't sound like our old  songs  but they're exploratory, in that regard
Brandon: and whatever sort of imagery that word condors, also I think it's a lot more different because there's a new band member in  the  band
Mike: yeah, this guy right here
Brandon: he doesn't talk much, but he draws
Ben: (in a weird voice) hi… sorry…
Mike: he makes weird noises from time to time, but we leave him a lone pretty much.

Mike: next question
Brandon: (reading it) Hi guys! This one goes out to Jose. This is from, smiler from London
Mike: Smiler?
Brandon: Smiler, ok ah… My man, how did you get so good on the drums, you play a lot of different styles, and keep it tight. What is   your practice routine / approach bad ass drumming. I've been playing for 18 months, and need to step it up. take care dudes! -Smiler
Jose: thank you Smiler! Good question Smiler, basically what I have done in the past is listen to many genres of music and umm,
Brandon: good word, genre, good word
Jose: Genres of music, umm, And basically practice buy playing with many of these different genres of music, buy the albums, umm. (all laughing) and basically what  I would suggest is to listen to all types of music, and if you can then get a little horse like this (get's a kid's toy horse and 'rides' it) and go hea!

MIKE AND BRANDON SPEAK ABOUT BEN KENNY

TMike from an interview following the ASCAP Pop Music Awards: "He's been very inspiring for all of us," guitarist Mike Einziger said at the recent ASCAP Pop Music Awards of the onetime Roots member. "He's a very different musician than Dirk, so it adds a very different dynamic to what we're doing. It's just like a big fresh breath of air." Click here for the article on MTV.com

Brandon from an interview from Yahoo! Launch: "Mantastically. Magically. It's wonderful,” Boyd said. “It's one of the funnest things we've ever done. He's a very accomplished musician--in fact one of the more accomplished musicians I've ever met. He has that instinct about things that is kind of rare in true musicians. We don't really have to say much, he kind of just...goes."
