My Testimony of Jesus Christ
My name is Ellis Li. One night during the summertime in 1979, I had a dream.At 25 years old, I saw Jesus
Christ come to me at my house in Hawaii.
The Holy Ghost bore witnessed to me that He is the Son of God.He wore a white robe with a red sash on His
left shoulder.He also wore
old-fashioned sandals on both His feet.
He had a short beard and His complexion was pinkish-tan.His hair was brown down to His
shoulder.We communicated psychically
instead of speaking out loud.At first
I did not recognize Him because of all the different Jesus Christ pictures I
have seen, which gave me a different image of what he really looked like.His appearance surprised me because it
differed from the perspective in my mind.I am an artist, so my image of Him is very fair, perfect and
handsome.When I saw him, he was very
tired and exhausted and seemed like he was all worn-out.His shoulders were so heavy because of all
the pressure of sins from trillions and trillions of people.I use to think that the atonement was done
in the Garden of Gethsemane but I was wrong.
The atonement is still going on as of today.I felt deeply of what He was suffering and is still facing it today.He came to give me a very personal message
about life: the past, the present and the future.I felt His love for me and the love for all of Heavenly Father’s
children.I felt the love He has for
our Heavenly Father that he may take this burden upon Himself to set a great
example for all of us.I can relate to
a few pictures that have a very close resemblance of the true image of Jesus
Christ.Sometimes I feel that these
kinds of pictures can give us a wrong impression, unless they do look very much
like Him.From what I have experienced,
I know that I truly did receive a special message that I may know what He looks
like.Our image of Jesus Christ is very
important, if someday we do see Him face to face, we can recognize Him and know
that He is the true Savior.Here are a
few scriptures that best describe what he looks like relating to what I
encountered in my dream.I like to bear
you my witness that I did spoke with the Lord face and face in dream and I know that he lives. He is the Savior of the world and the Son of God, and by repentence we can become cleanse again. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
In Isaiah 53: 2-6 it said,
2. For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3. He is dispised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicated.
5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Here are 2 pictures that have close resemblance to his physical looks while he was on earth. Yet still are a little difference but close.
Through this dream, I have learned a true principle. Relationship does not start in this life, but it goes back to our pre-existence life while we still live with God, even thousands and thousands of years ago. There we can see the past, present and future at the same time. Therefore God has created this everlasting covenant so the relationship can continue for eternity with those wonderful feelings for being together. Since we see the future, the covenant exist there are eternal. There are no such covenant created for couples that will not stay together, so there are no need for a Temple Divorce since it was not valid when it was done on earth in the first place. When there is an existing covenant in heaven done, and the couple is married in the temple, it will be sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise, so this is why it is called a "Sealing". When there are no such covenant exist in heaven for the couple, the ordinance done on earth are invalid any way. Certainly all the blessings will come with a valid sealing as promised in the scripture. D&C 130: 20-21, "There is a law; irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated. And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated." We go through life with trial and error and we make mistakes. Some people may take a long time to find their "right one" despise of all the pressure to get marry after their mission. Life is an experience and it is for our good to experience all things. There is no divorce in Heaven. Why? Because from the beginning of time there are eternal love exist. We live thousands and thousands of years before we were born and we came in pairs with our most compatible partners as spirits. It is up to us in this life to find the "right one". It is "human error" that we divorce in this life because we did not find the "right one". The eternal marriage are implemented by God so we can enjoy the most wonderful feeling of eternal love which carry forth from the pre-existence and is a continuation of our pre-existence relationship to eternity, for ever and ever. It is also a "human error" to try to force an incompatible couple to stay together since it is NOT meant to be. We have to see things in an eternal perspective and willing to correct our path if it is wrong. It takes great courageous to admit that we have walk the wrong path and correct it. Eternal mates feel the bond of each other even when they are separated far away for many years. Feelings you can neither deny nor forget. The longer the time goes, the more one can realized their existence and happiness in life that cause it. This is how you can tell who is the "right one".
