The Casual Restaurant Critic

You might agree or disagree with my opinions, but that's life, isn't it? And no, I get no commissions or kickbacks from any of the places favorably reviewed - I do this entirely for my own amusement and your information.

Sushi To Go, but Please Be Patient! If you're lucky, you'll get some of these

Merida has yet another sushi alternative, this one located in the Gran Plaza 'Food and Food' court.

Misushi is located where the ill-fated Mr. Papas/Potato-Head clone used to be and actually offers tasty sushi and japanese cooked items like yakitori and some kinds of teppan-yaki-ish stuff too.

Chicken Yakitori - no you won't be getting it like this, it'll be on a disposable plate - duh!

The problem here is the time it takes to get your order; I would suggest that upon arriving at the Gran Plaza, order your sushi platters, go take in a movie and when you're finished, your sushi will be ready.

OK it's not that bad, but almost. If you're in a hurry or starving don't consider it.  I recommend the california rolls and also the Misushi roll, both of which are quite good and reasonably priced.  You can ask for regular soya sauce instead of that lemon-diluted stuff they give you. Chopsticks are not always available, though and somehow sushi with a plastic fork doesn't really seem authentic...

Located in the A/C challenged Food and Food (what no drinks?) 'court', in the Gran Plaza. Operating hours are around lunch through to the mall closing time, whenever that is; it seems to vary somewhat from day to day.
