| Thomas and Elizabeth Taylor nee Gray -. they lived most of their married life in Galashiels, Selkirkshire but came from Berwickshire. One of their sons called Joseph married Jessie Waddell at Galashiels in 1877. Joseph was a Skinner by trade and had previously been married to a Margaret Malcolm . Margaret died not long after the birth of their daughter Jessie Kerr Taylor. Joseph and Jessie had James, Joseph and Alice and two more children who died in infancy.
