Brief History: Back in the early 1500s, her older
brother Claudio worked, as an apprentice, for a 'man' called Montresor. Eventually, Montresor made Claudio a vampire like himself. Seeming to be a kind man, Montresor was respected by their parents and so did not arouse suspicion. He fell in love with Ophelia, and Claudio, now knowing Montresor's true nature, would not stand for it. He would not allow the old vampire to have his sister. In a rage and thirsting for revenge Montresor made Ophelia deathly ill, and Claudio was forced to make her a vampire rather than to see her die.
They managed to shut the old vampire away one night and burn him to death, then they began to travel the world together. They interacted with various historical people including William Shakespeare, whom they helped as "ghost writers." Sometime during the late 20th century the siblings parted ways. Claudio was tired of the way his sister thought about everything from the way he and other vampires fed to the way they would tease and torture their victims. The two split up somewhere in the States and have not seen each other since, though they miss each other dearly.
