I believe sindhu and sarasvati civilisation was much more advanced than invading aryans as it was agriculture based not nomadic..
These ancient sindhu people worshipped mother goddess and father god in form of yoni and lingam.this worship still continues in modern india in the form of worship of shiva lingam..
Most common icons found in indus civilisation are of seals of an horned god and bull.
i also believe that these ancient people were inventors of yoga and tantra and tantra is most ancient religion of india.
