My Mundane Interests and Information:
The name Gille-Petair was a choice of fate for me ...I looked up the meaning of this particular name after choosing it and found out that it also suits me...the name gives me the desire to understand and help others with their problems...which I do quite well...for those who know me, I have a huge shoulder and a well tuned ear for such things. It gives me the natural ability to express affection to those close to me...which I do with great ease. I do enjoy amongst other things, having contact with people, and appreciate good music (Classical & Celtic) and Art.
I also enjoy Needlecraft, I do Crochet, dabble a bit with Tatting, Sewing & Rug Braiding. I also have a deep interest in things that are Mystical in nature; Astrology, Tarot and Runes. I garden quite a bit, mainly with Herbs...used for cooking and also for the oils, for Potpourri and also for gifts. I have made Vinegars and Salts as well for friends.
After having recently joining the Society of Creative Anachronism, I do look forward to meeting more people who have the same interests that I do, and also others. I have been able to find a multitude of great resource links as well as other members great pages. Cara ni Cheallaigh, who is a Bard (you can see her links and some of her work on this site) invited me one day to visit her club, The Bardic Circle, it was an inspiration for me to join both her club and the SCA. I have always had a fondness for the Renaissance Faires that I have been lucky to have been to in the past. And having a love for Nature and the Simpleness that it brings to a person, I shall have a grand time doing my part to help re-create our Renaissance History.
