She sat in her room, sniffling after over an hour of heart-wrenching sobbing. Nothing made sense to her anymore. The world was falling apart. Her world, that is. No one cared anymore, no one paid attention. Her parents had left right before she started her sophomore year at UC Sunnydale leaving her a state of the art computer system and she received a letter 6 months later saying the deed to the house had been transfered to her and she had a large sum of money in the bank. Which meant that her parents had left her entirely and didn't expect to have to worry themselves with her any longer. She had been heartbroken, but got used to it and reveled in her freedom, however lonely and monotonous it was. Now, she was a junior in college, but still considered good old innocent, reliable, brainiac Willow. Only one person knew her wild side. Oz had never made her feel wild and dangerous, seductive and sexy. He'd made her feel more like gentle and innocent, sweet and fragile.
Willow stood up and went to the closet in the spare room where she kept her Slayerette material and sexy clothes, the kind of clothes Buffy always wore, but shy little Willow never dared to try. Or so they thought.
"I'll show them, I'm sick of being a good little girl by day. I have a dangerous boyfriend and a wild side. They'll see." She pushed through the clothes until she found what she wanted.
"Black miniskirt. Check. Green halter top with the crisscross straps. Check. Black calf-high boots. Check." Willow got dressed, painted her nails, applied make-up, and looked in the mirror.
"Time to go Bronzing." She grinned and grabbed her purse, going down stairs and out to her car, a red Mazda Miata, yet another of her parents gifts to keep her occupied. She popped in one of her favorite Cds, Bif Naked's I Bificus, and cranked up the volume as she backed out of the driveway.
Willow pulled into a parking spot at the crowded Bronze and walked inside. She saw Buffy and the gang, but decided to grab a seat at the bar for awhile. After ordering a Margarita, she looked around the club for other people she knew.
"Here's your drink, miss."
"Huh? Oh thanks." She licked some salt off the rim before taking a drink.
"Hey gorgeous," A husky accented voice whispered in her ear. She spun around in her seat, only to find herself staring into crystal blue eyes. She sighed his name,
"Spike."
"You look radiant, luv." Willow blushed and he grinned.
"You know who the entertainment tonight is, pet?" She shook her head. The D.J.'s voice came over the loud speaker,
"Tonight we have a special guest here at the Bronze. Everyone welcome Bif Naked!" Willow squealed.
"Spike, it's Bif, can you believe it?"
"I heard, pet. I take it you have a fancy for her music?"
"You know I do! She's the greatest." Bif smiled and took the microphone from the stand.
"A few months ago I met a guy in New York and we became good friends. He called me up last week and asked if I could come down here and do a gig. He explained his girlfriend was a fan and he wanted to surprise her on their one year anniversary. Of course, you can see I agreed. This is for you, William." She waited for the applause to die down.
"You did this? For me?"
"Yes luv, I did it for you." She smiled as a few stray tears fell and Bif began to sing.
it was a monday, when my lover told me,
"never pay the reaper with love only."
what could i say to you, except, "i love you."
and "i'd give my life for yours."
Spike led Willow to the dance floor and held her close as they moved to the music.
i know we are
we are the lucky ones.
i know we are
we are the lucky ones.
i know we are
we are the lucky ones, dear.
She smiled up at him and he kissed her forehead gently.
remember the time we made love in the roses?
and you took my picture in all sorts of poses.
how could i ever get over you,
when i'd give my life for yours.
i know we are... we are the lucky ones.
i know we are... we are the lucky ones.
i know we are... we are the lucky ones.
i know we are
we are the lucky ones, dear.
my dear, It's time to say i thank god for you.
i thank god for you in each and every single way.
"Thank you Spike."
"You're welcome, pet. I...I love you."
and, i know... i know.. i know.. i know...
it's time to let you know. time to let you know.
time to let you know. time to sit here and say:
"I love you too, William Bradley Masterson."
i know we are... we are the lucky ones.
i know we are... we are the lucky ones.
i know we are... we are the lucky ones.
He captured her lips in a lingering kiss as the song ended.
i know we are
we are the lucky ones, dear.
we are the lucky ones, dear...
Bif smiled at the peroxide blonde kissing a pretty red head. She nodded her head at the applause and began Anyday Now. Willow grinned as she broke the kiss for air and began to dance to the haunting sound of the new song. Spike wrapped an arm around her and danced with her, making quite the pair. They were oblivious to the crowd gathering around them.
Buffy looked up at the circle forming on the dance floor. She grabbed Xander, Riley and Anya and hurried over to see what was going on. She stood on a chair and saw a couple dancing in perfect unison. Xander climbed up next to her and looked surprised.
"That's Spike out there, Buff."
"Yeah I know, who's he with though?" The girl tilted her head far back and they saw her face.
"Willow???" After a few seconds of hesitation....."AND SPIKE!"
CHAPTER TWO
Buffy stared in shock at the couple on the floor. Her best friend was with an evil bloodsucking demon. And enjoying herself! The song finally ended and Spike led Willow off the dance floor and over to a door in the corner of the room. A couple of years ago, the owner of the Bronze added an extra building that was used for reserved dinner or private parties. He took her in the door and down the hall to the next building, seeing the guard on duty, he nodded at him.
"Masterson." The guard looked at his list.
"Dining room three, a waiter will be with you shortly." Willow smiled at him and he smiled back.
"Thank you." Spike took her hand and walked with her into the elaborately furnished dining room.
"Spike, it's beautiful."
"Most expensive room they have. I figured it might be suitable enough for you." He pulled out her cair and she sat. He walked around and sat across from her.
"Pet, there's something I have to tell you. It's taken me a long time to get up the nerve." She looked at him nervously but before he speak, the door opened and their waitor entered.
"Hello Sir, Ma'am, I'm Micheal, your waiter. Here are your menus, what could I get you to drink?" Spike got a mischeivous glint in his eyes and Willow looked nervous.
"How about a Bloody Mary?" Willow started giggling and Micheal looked puzzled at her behavior.
"Yes Sir, and for you, Miss?"
"Pina Colada, please."
"Right away." The waiter returned a few moments later and they gave him their dinner order. He left them alone with their drinks and Spike started to fidgit.
"What's wrong, baby?"
"Willow, do you ever want children? If you got married?" She looked puzzled.
"Well, yes, I'd always hoped for a family, why?" He sighed.
"Luv, you remember when I left town for a few weeks after our eight month anniversary?"
"Yes."
"I had to go to Ireland to visit someone. I'd helped her out and she'd sworn to do anything for me, if I ever needed it."
"And......?"
"I'd wanted to marry you, but vampires can't have children, and I couldn't bear the thought of you growing old and dying."
"Spike, what are you saying?"
"My friend, in Ireland, I didn't know it, but she's not human. She's like a goddess, pure magick. Macayla did a few favors for me, but first," He knelt next to her and pulled out a small velvet box. "Willow, luv, will you marry me?"
"Oh Spike. Yes, William, I'll marry you." He grinned and slipped a large diamond ring on her finger.
"Now, what were you saying about favors?"
"Oh, Mac, she gave me the ability to have children if you wanted them. I wanted her to make you an immortal, but she said she couldn't."
"Why not?"
"Because, you already are." She stared at him in shock.
"What?!"
"You're an Immortal. Something about your past and your abilities."
"But....but.. what if someone kills you?" He grinned cheekily and took a wrapped parcel out of his pocket.
"Open this, pet." She removed the cloth to see a vial of Holy Water and a cross. He took the cross into his bare hand and it didn't faze him. Neither did the Holy Water he doused himself with it.
"It's almost as if you had the Gem of Amarra."
"But this is different. I can only be invincible if I don't kill innocents. However, I can drain baddies and demons as I please." Willow was amazed and thrilled.
"We have a life together. A true life. But my friends...."
"More to explain later, luv." Their food arrived and they ate in peaceful silence. Then left the Bronze and went to her car, heading back to her house.
CHAPTER THREE
Willow woke up to the incessant banging on her front door. She groaned and rolled over, bumping into another body. She opened her eyes only to look directly into Spike's handsome face.
"G'morning, pet." She scowled in reply.
"Make it go away." He kissed her forehead and slid out of bed, sliding a pair of black jeans over his silk boxers and walking downstairs. Spike opened the front door right before the Slayer pounded on it again.
"Spike!" She stared at his bare chest and the well defined muscles. She'd never seen him without a shirt and was quite impressed with what she saw.
"What do you want, Slayer? You woke up my witch."
"Um....uh.....I saw you two dancing last night."
"So what?"
"Well.....um....." Buffy was saved from more stuttering when Willow entered the room, dressed in a long sleep shirt.
"Buffy, hi. Um, what are you doing here?" She blushed and ducked her head.
"Well....I saw you two last night dancing." Willow nodded.
"Ok well, that's all I came to say, except meeting at Giles' at noon. Coming?"
"Sure." Buffy nodded, and let herself out. Willow turned to Spike.
"What was that all about?" He shook his head.
"No idea, luv. Let's get back to bed." Spike pulled her close and she leaned against him.
"I have to be at Giles' at twelve though."
"We have six hours." She grinned and rushed for the bedroom and pulled the covers over her.
"Good! Night night." He laughed and shook his head, sliding off his jeans and crawling back into bed with her.
"Sure, why not." He kissed her forehead as she drifted off and he slowly fell asleep afterwards.
Willow woke up at 11:00 and cursed under her breath. Spike chuckled and she blushed.
"Nice language, pet."
"I have to be there in an hour, so shut up." He jumped to his feet and gave her a mock salute.
"Aye, aye, Cap'n."
"I'm not a friggin cereal box character!" He laughed and tossed her a pair of jeans and a spaghetti strap tank top. She smiled gratefully and pulled them on then ran downstairs. Spike shrugged and pulled on his trademark black jeans and a red silk shirt over a white tank top. A door slammed downstairs and he heard the car start up. He shrugged and decided to walk to Giles' apartment. Stepping outside, he squinted at the sun in his eyes.
"It's been a long, long time since I saw the sun. Never realized just how bloody much it could hurt your eyes." He slipped on a pair of sunglasses and strolled down the street towards Giles' and towards the slayerettes.
"Can't wait to see their faces when I show up." Spike chuckled and began whistling tunelessly.
