|As you might have already guessed, my name is Em, although I've been known to answer to a variety of things such as Emi, Milot, Emily and some other things that I'd rather not mention. Anyway, a year ago graduated from my beloved Regis College where I majored in history. I am a history fanatic, and spent a good portion of my senior year writing an honors thesis. If you want to learn about it click here.
I also spent a lot of time in the music department at school. I sang with Regis College Glee Club and Chamber Singers which, believe it or not, is a full-time job itself, although unpaid. I'm going to continue singing and being generally silly with them through the Regis College Alumnae Chorus. Last March, we went to Ireland, and this year, I am an officer in charge of recruitment and promotion.
And then there is always the Society of Llama, Llama, Llama. If you want to know what that's all about, you'll have to follow the link to our official web page.
Right now, I just finished my Master's in history at The University of New Hampshire. Where I was a resident assistant (I guess that I couldn't get enough of res life!) at the international and graduate dorm on campus. It was a great experience considering that we have people living here from more than 25 different countries.
So, I'm in the job market for something that would allow me to use my history degrees. And you know what? There's not a lot out there. So, if anyone hears about something: email me quick! In the meantime, I'm temping at the United Way of Rhode Island. They're a interesting and hungry bunch over here in Rhode Island.
When I'm not doing any of that, you can probably see me cruising around town (or around the United States, for that matter) in my little red car. It's my new favorite toy. Named Clifford the Big Red Bug, after the Big Red Dog of children's lit fame, my VW New Beetle takes me all over the place!
Now, that's a little bit about me. Now, why don't you visit some of my friends' sites.
